Luxe Belle is centrally located in the heart of Columbus. Across the street from Gateway movie theater, five minute walk to Jesse Owens South, ten minute walk to Standard Hall and the Short North, one block from OSU’s law school, two blocks from Kroger, 15 minute drive to the airport, and across the street from: Barnes & Noble, Taco Bell, First Watch, Raising Cane’s, Panera, Popeyes, Chumley’s, Knobu Sushi, Five Guys, Trism, Lukky’s and Cazuelas. Every experience I have had with Luxe Belle staff has been friendly, helpful and accommodating. They also schedule social events on a frequent basis to foster a sense of community. Free Starbucks coffee, cappuccino, tea and hot chocolate are served in the lobby all day. The complex also has a tanning bed, and a near fully equipped 24/7 apartment gym including cardio equipment like treadmill and elliptical, and weight-training utilities like dumbbells (up to 60lbs), kettlebell, arm, leg, chest and back machines as well as a general-purpose cable tower. The building also has its own multi-story parking garage which is a blessing if you’ve ever tried to park your car near High Street or OSU. Specifically, my apartment overlooks Ohio State from the top floor of the building. I often enjoy a calm morning with breakfast out on my balcony and return in the evenings to watch the sun set over campus. I also frequently have friends over to watch Netflix and HBO on the 60” smart screen TV that was included with my apartment. Two of my living room walls are near floor-to-ceiling windows which fill the space with calming natural light for most of the day (this was very particular in my apartment search) and my bedroom has its own bathroom and walk-in closet space. I’ve had one maintenance request in the past 6 months here, which was to fix a broken button on the washer dryer that came with my apartment. Maintenance arrived at my door 1hr after submitting the request and fixed my problem. I spent a few years of my undergrad at OSU living in various locations off-campus, I really wish I had moved here sooner. Living at Luxe Belle has been one of the highlights of my...
Read moreAs you can see from the several reviews below, I have lived in this building a long time -- basically since it has been open (almost 4 year now). The newest management started out well, but it has gone downhill. The cleanliness is suffering. The lobby frequently smells like trash and there is mud (I hope) trekked across the carpet for the past three weeks. I am sure that the high level of occupancy contributes to this. My communication with the staff has been wanting in empathy and kindness. I am made to feel like I am complaining when I bring up the matter-of-fact conditions and when I ask for information. Generally, the level of care taken in caring for the building and its tenants is suffering. They have been having "community events" consistently for the past few months.
My third review:
I found it necessary to update my review once again. The manager has changed and the dirt and smell are gone. It is significantly cleaner and tidier. There is a clear effort taken in managing the facilities now. I hope this continues. The online portal seems to be working fine and I have had no more trouble paying rent.
My second review:
I wrote a great review for the place a few month ago, but with the new management I had to come in and change it. The new management is terrible. Everything dirty and smells, the elevators, the lobby, and the corridors. It is exceedingly hard to get in touch with anyone to complain or ask what's happening. And now I am having trouble signing into their new portal to pay rent. So, I will probably be charged a fee for being late on rent. I'll try not to be too angry as a I side step the brown spills in the elevator going home today.
My first review:
The best thing about this apartment is the quiet and insulation from the street. Personally, I have had good experiences with respectful and courteous neighbors. The amenities are nice and generally clean. Generally, a great place to live, nice amenities, great location, and timely...
Read moreI have lived here for two years now. The particular apartment I live in is one with amazing floor to ceiling windows - increasing the rent price. It’s hard to justify that when I cannot see out of them because how filthy they are. Since living here they have NEVER ONCE been clean and I am embarrassed and disappointed because of it. I’ve asked on two to three occasions about getting them cleaned and that was before summer began. They said they were getting a quote from a company but i figured that they are going to wait until move out time to have them cleaned - so chances are I will have lived here two years without ever having clean windows. At this point through the frequently out of service elevators, horribly dirty carpet floors, frequently out of service call box, and no regulation for receiving packages I am dissatisfied. It would not be so bad if rent were not the most expensive I’ve seen in the area for campus but it is. Danika is very kind as well as Steve, so I appreciate them and have always enjoyed seeing them around the building. Steve was always great with our maintenance requests, even going out of his way to run to the store to get us a tube instead of ordering it so that we could have a washer working ASAP.
There just needs to be more care in upkeep and thinking about...
