The Hangout Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Columbus

I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. I had my Birthday dinner Saturday night and I got there around 7. Got waited on but didn't get served a drink until an hour later. We had a table with about 15 guests. It took an hour to get any drinks. Everyone placed an order for food at 8:00 but didn't get food until almost 10. They also gave us a table next to a sewer or dumpster so it smelled horrible the whole time. We ended up going to get our drinks at the bar because our server only gave us drinks once. When we asked where our food and drinks were he told us that the order had been put in. After several of my guests complained we finally had a manager come to us and apologize. She told us she was under the impression that we knew the waiter which we didn't. I still didn't understand why that would make our food take so long and why we weren't taken care of. We all got 10 percent taken off of our checks. I will never eat at this place again. They do not have a good system. There food was not good, they lacked in hospitality. Definitely one of the worst experiences I’ve had. From the moment my group sat down it was awful. The speakers were so loud we couldn’t even talk to each other and the waiter wouldn’t turn it down because one person on the opposite end of the room couldn’t hear it. We finally got up and dragged another table over to get away from it. Two hours later I get my appetizer and it was okay. I get my avocado burger and it’s so dry it’s hardly edible. It had 3 tiny slices of avocado and no bacon. A lot of our orders were wrong or bad but no one felt like trying to wait all over again. We went to play cornhole and there’s a power cable hanging down in the path you throw and we were trying to get it out of the way because we kept hitting it. The waiter told us to stop standing on stuff and walked away. Never tried to fix it. I will not be coming back here again. Awful and rude service. I am leaving this review with 2 stars rather than 1 ONLY because our server was very attentive- so much so that we only ordered food with our beer because he was checking on us frequently and servicing what appeared to be the entire outdoor seating. The food was ATTROCIOUS. Nachos were on stale dollar store chips with taco meat and canned cheese. It was not even like warm but cold. I would rather eat fast food or even gas station nachos any day of the week. The wings were bland and rubbery and most likely old as well. The bathrooms were unkempt to say the very least. Seemed to be never cleaned, dust very visable and broken locks on doors. Smokers on outdoor tables were very close to indoor dining and blowing in our immediate direction. (Rather than only on down low below deck seating.) If it werent for the beer being cold and some decent music playing I would have zero good things to say. Do not come here...
