I should’ve learn my lesson from other people reviews. I recently visited this shop and requested Knots-less box, was told it was different price okay.
Give me box braids instead, show the picture to the two stylists that was there , and they said okay. Mind you, I emailed the shop prior to my appointment in advance and ask questions about pricing and hair. I was told price was $180 including the hair, by the owner. I got to my appointment, the stylist proceeded to do my hair.
About 40min minutes into the braiding process, i noticed my hair was short, not even close to bra length, I proceeded to ask the stylist, why my hair was short, she than acted like she didn’t understand english, or understood me okay cool. The owner came by and said that was the actual length for box braids really??? how could you give me 16inch length as a box braids really ?Now i realize i was in trouble, they’ve just did 3braids, i was about to walked out, i guess they knew i was getting irritated, than the owner proceeded to say “ okay but next time length is more money than just saying you want box braids. I sit in that chair from 11:45am - 5:05pm it could’ve been longer, instead i insisted that i had to go to work. This owner has to time punctuality okay, So you’ve been warned.
What i’ve on my hair doesn’t look like box braids y’all, I’ve too much hair on my head. I show the stylist, and the owner pictures of how i wanted my hair, *box braids!!!!!! It shouldn’t be this hard when photos are shown right? nah got a mess on my head.
Now to be honest, the stylist that did my hair can braid very well, but not giving me my style totally take out the skills of braiding to me. I guess these stylists don’t know how to do certain styles so you’ve been warned!!! BTW As an African too, i was shock to learn my own people could be as dishonest , on the level of pettiness and lack of unprofessional customer service. What i encounter was discouraging. Now i understand why others non-culture or Non African nationality goes through from theses braiding shops, more especially form this location. Never again, will i go to this braiding location.
Natural hair Customer be warned! Flats iron your hair, before going to this shop, they’ll comb your hair as if you’ve come from the Amazon rainforest I worried i may loss my hair after these braids are done.
I strongly believe they can improve customers services, by communicate more in depth, as to pricing, and service intended by the customer, instead of it being a secret and surprise to the customer upon arrival. I should’ve waited for my niece to come back from vacation to braids my hair. 2 Star for location nothing else.
{Response from the owner } a week ago Yes knotless box braids and regular box braids are definitely different prices and you are told from the beginning so you know and make a decision .
*That’s not true *, i communicated with you a week prior to my scheduled dates! You didn’t explain anything further other than emailing me a price of $180 of what i wanted and confirming the dates.
Ma’am you will do better in your business if you honestly articulate your prices, explain to customers in-depth of your product , and service. If you do all of these things, no-one will be shocked of paying you the price of your service.
Sitting in your chair and getting something totally different on your head is unprofessional business practice. Take criticism. work on area you’re limited on, improve service and more on . *You braid good hair, but you don’t give what’s ask? just to increase the price, If you were to explains on the email and telephone conversation, we had , you couldn’t be bothered with my review. If they don't like you for whatever reason, they speak their language to talk about you, conversate how to mess your hair up and the owner, she acts nice but, she's spiteful as well. They're not on time so don't book early in the morning and if you're getting extensions, better buy their hair because if you don't, that's reason enough for them not to like you and destroy the hair you purchased elsewhere. I purchased hair elsewhere, that made them very upset and they never did my hair right again.
Yes, you offered to do my hair and at discount but, what you're not telling the people is, you intentionally didn't braid the top of my sew-in correctly which is the most important part of the style. You took $80 from me knowing what you did was wrong! Yes!! you have a spiteful spirit because Mahawa, and I had our differences. She spoke very rudely to me because she forgot to sew a piece of my track down. She took a comb the next day and dug into my braided edges to cause me pain. I paid $220 just for her to handle my bundles like a $2 amazon wig. I asked her not to handle my bundles that way and she said, she had customers who pay $500 and she will brush the hair the same. BUT!! I asked that she not do that, it was ripping the hair off the track. I told you how she treated me and you offered your services with malice in your heart to get payback for Mahawa and when you performed your services you didn't do my hair right! I text yesterday 7/15/2021 if she could do my hair because she did it beautifully the very first time but, on this day, you said something in your language about me not buying your hair and, she shredded my bundles the second time, put tons of thread in my hair, it took a week to get it out and the last time she was disrespectful, never to do it right again. We talked and you said you would talk to her which is why I requested her, thinking you had regained respect and value for your customer again. What a disappointment!!! As an owner you should correct that kind of behavior this is your business but, how can we blame an employee when the owner is out of line? Never forget where you come from!! So today my hair stylist wasn’t available so I decided to come here and let them do my hair since I was in a hurry . OMG very unprofessional ladies , they gossiped about me in French the whole time, they didn’t know I speak the language. The lady who owns the place told me that she could wash my hair before I got there , when I got there she changed the story that she doesn’t have warm water so she’s gonna use cold water.
