I had to go to the Law library but they were out to lunch, so I decided to shop around and saw a cute antique shop.I went in with my toddler and made a quick loop around to see what they had, at the end of the loop was a racist caricature of a jig a boo. I instinctively as a person of color knew what it was, a disparaging image to a black person. quickly left. This happened yesterday and the more I think of it the more offended I am, what good could come from selling something so deeply offensive and hurtful. Furthermore, what benefit is there to sell something that furthers the belittling of a group of people that have continuously been told they don’t matter. Read moreThis store seems to be all over the place. They have a very spacious store, but seem to have more modern items than antique ones. Being in there felt like I was in a boutique, not an antique store. On top of that, the prices are a little over the top than at most places, again, this is probably because of the boutique feeling. As a warning, the associates are not subtle what so ever about following people around the store. I am a 20 year old female and both times I went into this store, I was followed throughout the entire store by an associate.
