Absolutely terrible customer service. I'm a 30 something year old male who was in this business with my wife to buy work clothing. My wife found several good suit sets for work and the prices were reasonable enough to try them on.

She was in the changing room trying things on and was occasionally ducking out of her room to ask my opinion on the fit and style. In order to do so, since there isn't a square foot of space outside of the dressing room, I was standing at the entry way to the dressing room, in a hallway area. We continued along with this for 30 minutes or so at which time a women, obviously uncomfortable with a male being near the dressing room, asked a staff member if men were allowed in the dressing room area.

I am not mad at a customer questioning me being near the dressing room. While I personally don't understand how me being near the doorway impacts their private dressing room room, but I'm willing to hangout elsewhere. I'm not trying to make people uncomfortable. BUT, the store staff, rather than politely asking me to leave, turned towards me after her "are men allowed in here" and said, "no, they're not. You need to leave." And escorted me to the front of the store. This was ridiculously handled, and she did not care or apologize as I explained why I had been in the location.

We spent $900 dollars on work clothes that day at Ann Taylor, and I bit my tongue since we spent the time to try them on, and my wife was happy with the outfits. But I regret giving this company any money. Their staff was ridiculously cold and impolite, and did not care to earn our business. They judged us based on our age (as older men had been in the changing room prior).

Terrible terrible customer service. I have been buying from Ann Tyler Portland, Bellevue locations over last 10 years. Customer service for this store is absolutely horrible. They started rushing through the order, scanning even before the closing time and asked us to hurry up as well and spoke rudely when asked price for items they were scanning. In this rush process they scanned 3 items twice and over charged. When we stepped out and realized that it is way too much $ 650 they said we cannot step back and refuses to help with any questions and asked us to come back and talk to manager. We drove 3 hours back n forth. Finally while they were closing we sat outside on table and found the fault - 3 items duplicate scans and trying to ask them if they can help understand if single bar code is suppose to appear twice. Manager was super rude and asked other 2 girls who scanned our order to go to the car and just kept on telling us to come back and they dont want to loose their job over this. We also told one of the item is missing and not in the bag. First they blamed us then layer she went inside the store and got it outside. She was not ready to answer any question. Because of their fault, rude and misbehavior we have to suffer. Never going to this...
