Market Basket — Local services in Conway

Okay store I guess with just average prices that are about the same as every other store, but still have to do most grocery shopping at Walmart as this huge store doesn't even carry some items that my wife and I like. If you're going to order a pizza, order somewhere else! The pizza department is terrible! A few weeks ago, when they first opened, we ordered a pizza and they said 20 minutes, it was done in 10 and it was amazing. And it was only $11. It was half chicken and half pepperoni. Last night we ordered the same thing and they again said 20 minutes. I waited at the counter for over an hour before they even started making it! Also, this time they charged us $13 for TWO toppings, when actually it's only ONE! And, this time it was just okay. From now on, I'll just grab a Flatbread Co. pizza from the freezer door instead of waiting all day for a mediocre pizza and being charged $2 more than advertised. Today I called in a sub and still waited at the store for an hour and a half before I got it. Also, the deli department is a joke too. I was in a line waiting to order some turkey to be sliced as there was someone in front of me being waited on, and other customers waiting behind me. When the person in front of me was done, both deli employees disappeared and never came back with all of us looking at each other confused. I finally left and went to Hannaford and had a better shopping experience! Stay away from this place and go to Shaw's or Hannaford! Simply infuriating service.

My 7 year old daughter was hungry on our way home, I decided to stop in to grab a slice of pizza for her. Waiting 10+ minute making eye contact with the pizza guy, and the last slice of pep behind the glass, just to be ignored and then cut by 3 different people (which he allowed to happen). I stepped away and got a manager so I could just put my order in. 5 minutes later pizza man asks me what I wanted. I said "a slice of peperoni pizza for my kiddo please" they said they don't have any because they just sold the last slice to the lady who cut infront of us. Then I said, "fine, give me a slice of cheese, don't even have to heat it I just want to be gone". Guy boxes up (at the time I didn't notice) a slice of Buffalo chicken pizza that when I got to the car, my kid wouldn't eat.

Waste of time and money. They are completely incapable of providing sensible service. All they have to do is a number system, or have common sense that maybe the man standing infront of you, staring, with his daughter who's crying she's hungry for a slice for 10+ minutes wants to order something. I can't believe I have to write up this entire review over a slice of pizza, but that's how frustrating this was.

I have to say your grocery store has changed my entire perception on food shopping. I usually get anxiety shopping but I did not feel that way here. I am new to area and was expecting to have a hard time finding what I was looking for and to get some funny looks. It's a small town and everyone knows everyone. I felt very welcome in the store and no matter who I asked for help they were so friendly and willing to help me find everything I was looking for. My son has unfortunately dropped our bin of tomatoes on the ground so I picked them up and handed them to the bagger informing him my son dropped them. The gentleman bagging my groceries made it a point to go and grab me a new container of tomatoes. Well I nearly fainted because I am just not used to that kind of kindness in a grocery store. To see someone rectify a situation so quickly and easily I was beside myself. I am so appreciative that Market Basket made me feel at home and we're so accommodating. I have definitely found my grocery store in the area. And the prices! Wow! I was expecting to drop a hot dollar in the store but BOY was I surprised. I didn't spend nearly as much as I thought I was and I even said to the cashier is that right?! She laughed and told me yes. So I am very happy with the service, the prices and the atmosphere that Market Basket provided for...
