My daughter and I will forever be grateful for the amazing staff that worked last week to save my beloved cat, Louis. When she and I arrived at 8am on Tuesday, December 26th (immediately leaving East Metro Atlanta Emergency in Covington) we were promptly greeted and immediate action began to save our pet's life. Dr. Sam Rollins came and spoke with my daughter and I about what had been happening with Louis over the past two days prior. He gave us his "game plan" to reverse the side effects of all the medications Louis had been given up to that point by East Metro. These medications had caused a severe reaction in Louis; every part of his little, frail body was shutting down. We were informed very unempathetically or sympathetically from the vet at East Metro (Dr. Leslie Lathem) that Louis was "dying and there is nothing else to be done; he is unable to regulate his own body temperature and his kidneys/liver are shutting down". This all happened under their care starting Christmas Eve morning. Dr. Rollins did not give us a false sense of hope, but he expressed very tenderly that he would do everything possible to save Louis. We walked away from Conyers Animal Hospital that morning hopeful that someone was taking us seriously and realizing that Louis was overmedicated for his nausea and vomiting issues; thus, possibly creating this very serious medical emergency. All week Dr. Rollins and Dr. Skylar Lindsey worked very diligently to save Louis' live; they were very informative and answered all our many questions. They even allowed us to come visit Louis all week which gave us great peace in seeing his progress each day. The other staff present, including front desk people and the Vet Techs, were all very respectful to us and talked about how sweet our precious baby was. They would call him by name and tell us how much they enjoyed helping him because he was so sweet. They appeared to greatly care for Louis and us as his family. Even though it broke our hearts every day to leave him there overnight, we knew he was in great hands. It was such a wonderful experience in a very sudden tragedy that began on Christmas Eve morning. Our Christmas was not what we had anticipated; nor was the manner in which Louis or us were treated at East Metro. We will never use them again! However, Conyers Animal Hospital made up for the tragedy and heart ache experienced at East Metro; they gave us the best gift possible. They saved our Louis' life! Everyday I cuddle and love on him I am reminded of their great commitment to him and us. "Thank you" is just not enough to express how much this has meant to my daughter and I. We will go to no other place for our pets' needs! Continue the loving and dedicated work to those entrusted to you; it makes a HUGE difference when unfortunate...
Read moreif you are thinking about bringing your fur baby here.. just do it. Although my story ended in a way i did not want, the level of care they provided to my baby meant so much to me.
my furbaby teeny got sick randomly 2 months ago, took him to the hospital and multiple vets. No one could tell me what was wrong with him or diagnose him. but he kept having issues. I called CAH in the afternoon and i asked the lady on the phone if i could tell her about what was going on with teeny and if they would be able to help him. she was so patient and friendly and actually listened to me.
I brought teeny in to see the doctor the same day and i believe it was Dr. Kidd that saw him. She listened to me.. and properly gave him a diagnosis and prescribed medicine. Unfortunately by the end of the week my fiance had to bring our baby teeny in and the doctors immediately cared for him again. This time they told us teeny was getting worse and it may be time for us to let him go because his little body could not take it anymore.
That friday -- 3/24 We put down our baby. When I walked into the back room the lovely vet techs were holding my baby making sure that he was so comfortable, rubbing him and keeping him warm. They patiently waited for me to say my goodbyes to teeny and did not rush me at all. It was about 45 minutes and they were 5 minutes from closing. Dr. Kidd explained everything that was going on and I felt she had teenys best interest at heart. she gently explained each step and allowed me to continue holding my baby while he was passing. Out of all the doctors/ hospitals we went to and the thousands of dollars we spent, this was the only facility to truly help us get a diagnosis for him
I forgot to come back and write the review as i've been processing the loss of teeny. However today in the mail, i got the most thoughtful card from their team (handwritten) all with love and well wishes about my teeny. They wrote cute notes about my baby and this card was so personalized and just shows how much they truly care about these animals. My teeny is not here on earth anymore, but he is so loved and i am so grateful for CAH for taking care of my baby in his last days.
thank you for everything, my family...

I cannot express my sincere gratitude to Everyone at this hospital ❤️. They are compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and highly experienced.... And I thank them so very very much 😊
My "Hendrix" (named after Jimi), was in dire straits, and I decided, and prepared myself to have him euthanized, due to the incompetence, the uncaring, the inexperience, and lack of compassion for animals, but quick to take your money, and send you on your way telling you to take your pet to a Vet. My Entire Savings was used, only for the "so-called" stitches to come apart within a hour. I was told I would be charged if I brought him back to be seen again.
With the insistance of my daughter, who has been a long time customer of Conyers Animal Hospital, WE took "Hendrix" there. OMG, the Service, the Staff, and the Doctors were so Refreshing, Experienced, and Compassionate. I was given hope that "Hendrix" would survive.
After two surgeries, "Hendrix " is doing GREAT 😸💯👍🙂😃.. I am so grateful to my loving daughter who Paid for both of his surgeries, and took the time to pick him up from the Hospital. I was in a car crash, and my vehicle was totalled. Uber and Lyft can be expensive. I am so grateful to the Doctor, and the Staff for their Compassion, and Loving Care for ALL animals who enter their facility!!!!!
Conyers Animal Hospital is an EXCELLENT EXAMPLE of what Veterinarians, and Veterinarian Hospitals should be. Conyers Animal Hospital is Not Money Hungry!!!!! They are Genuinely Concerned about the Care, the Health, and the Survival of your Pets. I thank them so...
