Dairy Queen Grill & Chill Restaurant — Restaurant in Conyers

Believe it or not this was my first time at a Dairy Queen. It was a nippy night, and I wanted to go through the drive thru but hubby decided we needed to go in. Best choice ever.

I was scoping the menu and was still undecided, so I told the folks behind me to go ahead while I made my life decision. I was up next and let me tell you the exceptional customer service I received from April should be noted and she could train a bunch of other businesses on what good customer service should look like. Yes, yes I know it's a fast-food dive, but good customer service goes a long way in earning my loyalty. I bobbed and weaved through what we were ordering and she politely asked if we wanted the burger to be cut in half (not even our other polite and high profile fast-food ever offered this with our order). See that right there is good customer service as she gathered from what we're ordering we were making sure we didn't overdo it.

As I was asking if it was time to swipe my card, she let me know she was typing in the note for the kitchen so it would be cut in half as requested. I really need to call corporate to give a shout out to April cause at almost 8:00 p.m. I doubt I would be able to be this nice and pleasant with someone who was rambling around to order a burger, fries and random items. Let April be in charge of customer service training asap. The food was not pricey; onion rings and cheese curds were hot a bit greasy but that is expected of fast-food. Our milkshakes were pretty good as well and I was able to slurp it through the straw vs eating it in globs like others. We had a bacon double, bun was fresh, as well as ingredients. Meat very processed but hey its fast food so I honestly cannot complain. The customer service trumped all that.

Must I also add the restaurant was clean. Like really clean, counters, floors, drink and condiment station and (whispering....the bathrooms too). No sticky floors at this restaurant. Yes it wasn't crazy busy but like I said the service is enough to make me opt for this particular restaurant...

If I could give 0 stars I would! I came to this location as I sometimes do to get a blizzard, I requested a snickerdoodle blizzard with caramel added (which I paid extra for), received my cup and left. As I started eating it I realized that there was no added caramel. I didn’t have time to go back and briefly forgot about until a couple of hours later. I called the location to advised them of what happened the guy on the phone originally stated that I could come back, receive a replacement blizzard or he could put my name down in the books for another day. I told him he could put my name in the books because I would not be driving back to that side this evening after having to eat the blizzard I didn’t order. He placed me on hold, came back and said his manager “Ana” said I would have to bring the product back for a replacement. I said “excuse me?? you want me to bring back ice cream!?!?!” And he stated “yes” I told him, no thanks and asked if I could just come and get my refund for my caramel. He stated I could and offered to tell me how much it would be. I declined and will definitely be going back for my change AND getting the number to corporate. This is beyond petty and a display of poor customer service! Thankfully I took a picture of my non caramel blizzard. And I will NEVER patronize this...

Ordered 1/4 pound w/cheese combined meal with milkshake upgrade. Got milkshake within 4 minutes of paying and getting receipt. Finished milkshake waiting for food that never came. Finally went to ask. This is the cleanest, nicest most friendly place in town. My favorite restaurant to eat in. Today wasn't my day. Owner arrived while I was asking for my refund. I did ask them to charge me for my shake but owner refused. After 35 minutes and drinking the whole milkshake I was full. Owner wanted me to wait to give me free food but I politely declined and said it was ok. That I would be back. That this was my favorite place. The experienced manager was working with 4 inexperienced people in the front, 3 on the drive thru. She was doing an excellent job with the volume of customers. Correcting orders helping the new hires and keeping things flowing. I just slipped through and that happens. No bad on them. I love this place and always give it 5 stars. Just not today. I give 3 because things happen. You should visit this place for a good meal for a fair price. Everything is always hot and fresh. I would also encourage anyone who wants to develop a good work ethic to apply here and if accepted work and grow there. Their help wanted sign speaks plainly and clearly that they only want the best.
