I can't attest for other Market Street locations but this one has always been a gem for me. Everything I look for in other places, I can only find here. Blush brush by Eco Tools: here. Ulta and other makeup stores seem to either not carry the blush brush or are sold out all the time. If You Care sandwich bags: here and on sale! I use to get them from Sprouts but they quit carrying them. I've searched the aisles of several other stores; Target, Whole Foods, Kroger but I only find them here! Their floral department carries some great floral varieties too! I've wanted an olive tree for a while and have yet to see one at Calloway's or other nurseries. I came to Market Street for groceries one day and outside the doors, there was a shelf with lots of small olive trees for $20! It was amazing! I've also had a Plumosa Fern on my "wishlist" for a few years but can't justify spending $40+ ordering online. Again, i've never seen this type of plant in nurseries. Found it at Market Street today for $6! Their soups from their deli department are VERY good as well! They don't always serve the same soups but I can say that their tomato soup is a REAL tomato soup. Creamy and buttery, unlike other tomato soups from restaurant where they're watery and taste more like a veggie soup. Their spicy green chilli soup is another favorite. Another rarity they carry are pure beeswax candles! My local Whole Foods carries a lot of soy, scented candles and just a couple of beeswax tapers. That's pretty disappointing for a Whole Foods! This Market Street carries a large variety of 100% beeswax candles, including Big Dipper candles. Some are scented with essential oils. The store carried a limited collection of Big Dipper candles that smelled AMAZING and were inside beautiful glass containers. It's a discontinued item, no longer made by the manufacturer, but the fact that Market Street carried candles like this was extremely impressing! I love this location and plan to continue shopping here over...
Read moreI have to leave a review for this particular Market Street since we've been ordering delivery with COVID-19. Before the pandemic hit, we were mostly shopping at Walmart and picking up anything we couldn't find/get from Walmart at Market Street.
Eventually we stopped going to Walmart altogether after the pandemic since there were way too many people shopping and walking around without masks. Then when it got colder here we opted for delivery only.
Originally we were going to go with Kroger since that was the cheapest delivery option out of all the stores. However, me and my husband really like Market Street so we decided to keep ordering delivery with them and I'm glad we did.
Unfortunately, our last 3-4 deliveries haven't been correct. We were either missing items we were charged for or half of our groceries was someone else's, and today we received the wrong order entirely.
However, every time we have called Market Street they have came out and personally delivered whatever items were missing and we did receive additional credit a couple times. Today, for example, they delivered our order since we received the wrong one, then we noticed something else was missing. My husband called and said he would just stop by for curbside. We were then contacted shortly by the person who delivered our correct order insisting she would stop by again with the missing items. Another time, there were no drivers available to deliver the items that was missing so the person I spoke to dropped it off after his shift!
Mistakes happen and I really appreciate that Market Street is actually willing to come out and deliver any items we didn't receive instead of just refunding. I doubt this customer service is the standard for other grocery stores nearby and I am glad we...
Read moreMy review is of the bakery dept, and the older gentleman that works there. I came in MS this past Sunday, and was at the counter area for a few min, and was never greeted or told to hold on a min. After a few min, I heard the man say “hey how are you?” And I answered, only to look up and see that he wasn’t even talking to me. He was talking to another customer that had came up to a different part of the counter after me. Thankfully, not long after that, a younger employee who works in the same dept, came and assisted me.
I came again, on Tuesday (at the recommendations of ppl on Fb) to buy cupcskes for my sons class for his bday. He’s was turning 6, so you get the idea. They needed to be cute. I needed 2 packs of cupcakes. The first pack was choco and vanilla with fall colored icing and sprinkles. I picked up a strawberry pack of cupcakes (for flavor variety) and asked the man if he could put sprinkles on the pink one as well. He couldn’t even make the decision himself!! He said “I don’t know. I have to ask my manager..” so I’m looking at him like, ok, well are you going to ask him. Then he said “he’s not here right now. He’s in the store somewhere.. if you want to come back” at that point, I just said no, put the cupcakes back, and just went to Kroger. This man made me so upset with his actions and writing this makes me angry all over again. I was stopping in, on a break, in my uniform (Army) I wasn’t leisurely shopping for groceries. I didn’t have time to wait. Why couldn’t he makes a simple decision???...
