I booked an appointment with Alicia to receive the lip blushing service on April 7th . We confirmed my appointment at 2 pm. Couple days prior to the appointment she reaches out to me to confirm the appointment again , this time she says 3 pm. I informed her that time would not work for me because I have to be at work by 4:30. She says whats the difference between 2pm or 3 pm either way you are gonna be late for work if you have to be there at 4:30. I replied letting her know that I would be able to make it to work in 30 minute and being late to work by 10 mins is different than being late by a hour. I gave her multiple opportunities to rectify the situation. She offered me my deposit back and I responded by letting her know that I wanted to reschedule due to the fact that I actually like her work and wanted her to perform the service . However she didnāt reach out to me to reschedule my appointment and when I asked back for my deposit she simply ignored me . Today april 27 after 22 days after sending the messages I decided to text her again letting asking back my deposit. She refuse to give me back my deposit and wants to play victim because I called her out for being unprofessional and having bad communication skills. Please think twice about booking an appointment with Alicia she doesnāt owe up to her mistake . She has the nerves to ask what charity I would like her to donate my measly $50 to. Alicia I work just has hard as you do for my money. That comment alone shows how much you value your customers. And please do not play victim I didnāt threatened you/ your business or your family. I simply said that I would let your potential clients know how you conduct your business. She has denied my request I sent using zelle for the $50, I know I will not get my money back and I just want to warn you guys to not send deposit to any business using Zelle/ cashapp or even PayPal. All professional business should have a website where they customers can pay their deposit for situations like this . I am not able to dispute the transaction with my bank . I learned my lesson and I donāt want any of you guys to make the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt took me a year to write this review. 1. Because I waited to see if the color would fade. And 2. Because I actually really liked Alicia and her sister and don't like leaving bad reviews for nice people.
Sadly, I felt obligated to share my story. I visited New Image from out of town a little over a year ago. I got the Bazillion Strech Marck Camo service on my upper legs and various other places. I experienced the standard post sevice reactions such as red raised lines in the areas treated which turned veey dark and ugly for months. After about 6 months 2 things were visible:
My light (almost 3-4 shadees ligher) stretch marks were all just as light and visible as before Multiple areas of my upper thighs now had dark pigment around the original marks. Alsmost like the pigment spread outward but didnāt stay on the marks themselves.
So now my legs look worse than before. I am sure the team there would say this isn't usual or ask why I didn't come back to let them see it but when I expressed concern about the marks being the same shade as before I flew out there and paid over $5k for treatment, I was told that it was because I was a woman of color and would need another treatment. So I didn't feel like flying back out there and wasting anymore money, especially now that I see it left dark pigmentation in various spots.
I am not leaving this review to bash this business or the servixes they offer but I definitely want people to think before spending money on permanent servicrs that are not guaranteed. Especially if you're brwon or black. Not everyone has enough experience with our skin to treat it and I waited about a year and a half before booking with this place because I feared it wouldn't work. Now it's the summer and like last summer I will be covering up my legs and probably for the rest of my life.
Just because something looks great online doesn't mean it will work for you. I would suggest getting a small area done and waiting to see how it turns out before getting a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne of the worst experiences of my life⦠so much so that itās taken me months since my appointment to write this review. In October of 2023 I reached out to New Image via IG regarding the camouflage under eye procedure. A few days later Alcoa, the owner contact me and we spoke briefly about what I want to achieve. She asked me to sent her pictures and when she received them she stated that I was candidate for the procedure and suggested that I also do the micronneedling procedure. Since I had made the decision to start want to start feeling better about my skin I accepted her suggestion and moved forward with both procedure. BIG MISTAKE!! I have an extremely high pain tolerance, however, the pain I experienced during the 3 minutes she āworkā on my eyes was excruciating. Alicia told me it was normal and that the next time she would put more numbing cream. The work she did was beyond awful. I was embarrassed to be around people and felt foolish for being in this situation. I a permanent make up artist who felt so bad for the situation was in that agreed to help me for free. On Thanksgiving day 2023 he scheduled me for an appointment with him. He explain that numbing cream shouldnāt be used in the area because it can change the pigment is the ink used but that the procedure shouldnāt hurt. He work on my right eye (which was the worse of the 2) for over an hour and didnāt feel the slightest bit of pain. For my follow up appointment with him in December he advised me further correction would only make things worse and educated me on my options and helped me find a solution with a different provider. I am now with with another person who is certified with a product called botched ink to remove the ink that Alicia used. This artist also felt so bad the experience I had that she is giving me 50% discount.
I texted Alice about everything I had experienced with her and she never even bothered to say...
