Subject: Extremely Disappointed with Outback Steakhouse in Coral Springs, Florida and Sunrise Location. We give up.
My recent experience at the Outback Steakhouse in Coral Springs, Florida, was nothing short of a disaster. After giving this chain multiple chances at different locations, this visit was the last straw that finally convinced my party and me to never return. $130 thrown away on the worst service and food post covid.
Let's start with the most glaring issue: the service. Our waiter was practically non-existent throughout the entire meal, and when he did grace us with his presence, he showed zero willingness to assist us. We had to flag down the manager because our food was not only incomplete but also poorly cooked. The steaks were egregiously overcooked, the supposedly "loaded" potatoes were cold and devoid of toppings, and even simple requests like bread and butter for our salads were overlooked. Shockingly, when we asked for cinnamon butter, it never made its way to our table.
To make matters worse, when our waiter finally decided to clear our dishes, he thought it was acceptable to handle dirty silverware and then place it in our water glasses. This is beyond unacceptable and demonstrates a shocking lack of basic hygiene standards. He even left it on the table for us to look at while he walked away!
What's most frustrating is that this is not an isolated incident. We've encountered similarly poor service and product quality at the Sunrise, Orlando, and now Coral Springs locations multiple times. It's clear that there's a fundamental problem that needs addressing.
Outback Steakhouse, it's time to step up and take responsibility. Your staff desperately needs proper training in food preparation and service etiquette. Customers should not have to request items that should come automatically with their meals. We shouldn't have to beg for bread and butter with our salads or for essential toppings on a loaded potato. Hot food should be served hot, and steak should be cooked to the requested doneness. My $33 bone-in Ribeye arrived looking gray and dry, far from the rare to medium rare I had ordered. My Wife's steak was so tough that she was embarrassed to say anything in fear of even more poor services.
Your quality of service and leadership have plummeted to levels we've never encountered before. It's evident why there's no longer a wait for tables at your restaurants. Congratulations on driving your business to an all-time low. We will not be spending another penny at any Outback Steakhouse location, and I sincerely hope you take this review to heart and make the necessary changes to regain...
Read moreI visited this location on Saturday and I went on the recommendation of a friend, but I'm sure it was my first and last time at any OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE, my overall experience was terrible. When we were seated, the waitress came over and we ordered our drinks, which included my 2-year-old daughter's drink (an apple juice), our drinks (my husband and I) came first, after almost 10 min of not seeing our waitress and asking another 3 who passed by, finally the waitress came and I asked what she said that the bar had thrown away the order (I want to emphasize that the restaurant did not have more than 6 tables occupied), So after 15 minutes they brought the juice, as a drink I ordered a pina colada that when I tasted it did not have ANY liquor, I informed the waitress and she only said that it was weird, but she didn't take the drink back to verify it or anything, she offered me a shot (which later logically they charged and is more expensive than the pina colada) and it seems that that is the business, giving you the cocktails without liquor to force you to buy a shot and then if you know what it should taste like, when the food arrived (Sirlion with shrimp), the meat was spicy to die for, I tried to wash it down with water but I could only half eat the meat and ate the shrimp, the Spicy hurt me a lot, right there I started to feel really bad, the waitress came up to ask and my husband explained to her about the meat, which was super spicy, to which the waitress said again, how strange, so we asked for the bill, in that I was getting worse and the manager came over, we told her and she just said how strange, and now, they saw how bad I felt and did not take any action. At least remove my plate and make the meat again, or at least discount it, the attitude of these people was ridiculous. I was general manager in a restaurant for more than 6 years and I know that the behavior of these people is totally incorrect, any inspector could verify, because their meat is offered without spicy and I have in my house the proof of how spicy...
Read moreMy order wasn’t ready when I arrived. The kitchen then scrambled to put together what scraps they had to give me what resembled my actual meal in order to get rid of a customer an hour before closing. The employee said themselves they couldn’t find my order and wasn’t until I showed them my order on my phone that they “magically” found my food 15 mins later.
When I returned to the location there were zero apologies; zero acknowledgment; the manager admitted to participating in putting together the slop they decided to call my “Order” and said they’d re cook it. Chunks of Sirloin cut were given to my instead of my Chimmichuri steak as if to insult my intelligence. The Chicken Caesar entree has less chicken than a 4 piece nugget at Chick Fila.
They have me waiting after having to return to the location another 15 mins just to be given the same thing with less items. I guess the price of complaining about given a completely wrong order was the confiscation of Chimmichuri sauce and bread…. what a waste of breath. The Manager has zero education on customer service and management skills; needs to be a hostess to be honest and work his way up. His lack of social skills have no excuse. Left what was correct of my order sitting on the table; so I guess it’s standard protocol at Outback to leave Lettuce outside of refrigeration for over an hour? I thought restaurants learned from chipotles mistakes when it came to lettuce mishandling.
I’ve never had such an abysmal experience at Outback; Thank god I can dispute this charge with the credit card company and i’ll never be giving this company a single penny of my hard earned money. especially after being disrespected TWICE in on night. Pathetic; I get better food and service at Mcdonald’s. They actually apologize and give me the correct order when they make a mistake. Let alone for a $50 meal.
run away. never look back. these franchises should be grateful we’ve kept them in business so long. Can’t wait for a private equity firm to give them the same ending as ...
