Every Bloomin' Thing — Local services in Coralville

First of all, I believe in supporting local businesses. Second of all, if you read my reviews I believe my reviews are honest. I’ve supported this business in the past, but I’m not sure I can do so in the future. I placed an order a few days ago for 24 longstem roses, and what was received today by the recipient is very upsetting. 24 longstem roses, not the colors I asked for, which that in itself is not a big deal. The fact that the long stem roses are in a small round squatty vase, and now folded over less than four hours from being delivered, so that the petals are laying on the table top, is not what I paid for, and more importantly, not what the person I care for should receive. Now, and I want to make this very clear. In the big picture of this world, this really isn’t a big deal. I’d also like it to be known that I gave a very nice tip, and suggested a local restaurant for their lunch. I hope this business understands the importance I’m just meeting expectations. They have a good selection of plants. However, the hoya I bought was cut at several growth points. I also went to buy a philo ginny, which was cut at ALL of it’s growth points. They blamed it on the grower, however, the cuts were still very fresh. They were nice when I pointed it out (after paying), but they didn’t want to return my money and would just hold the money until they got their shipment next week. This made me feel really uncomfortable. I just really hope this store isn’t intentionally stunting the growth of plants they sell. If I wasn’t knowledgeable about plants, I would have walked away never knowing that the plant I was buying would likely never grow any larger (and new growth is the best part of plant parenting). Please just be sure to check plants before purchasing for good, intact points of growth.

EDIT TO ADD: Changing my review to 5 stars! After this mishap, the company reached out to me and were so pleasant and delightful in working with. Got myself a new, beautiful, philo ginny with several new leafs and growth. Honestly, a very professional and great company...

I have used EBT for years for delivery flowers and plants, and I have always been pleased. So when my daughter got married this year it seemed natural to ask for their services.

Maja worked absolute magic with the event. The flowers were stunning and more economical than I expected. Even the upper crust relatives were commenting on the quality and abundance of the arrangements.

But the service was the truly stellar aspect of their product. They were professional, flexible and completely cooperative. Maja went out of her way to help us juggle everything. She was calm and kind and a joy to work with.
