Best donuts ever. There are so many different flavors to choose from. I've loved everyone that I've tried. It's an hour away from us so we always stock up for our family. I would give them five stars but on our last visit there, the customer service aspect wasn't as excepted. We ordered some donuts to go and some to eat there before the drive back. When we were done eating we noticed that all of the donuts with a filling were now missing their fillings because the young lady that filled the order put our donuts into small boxes and to make them fit, put them in sideways. I asked her for a large box so we could fit the donuts in sitting flat and she charged me $.75 for the box. We spent over $50 in pastries and I now had to get a spoon to scoop out the fillings from the bottom of the box and put them back into the middle of all the donuts that she'd placed on their sides. That's ridiculous. I'm hoping they open one in the Quad cities area soon. Because while the donuts are fantastic, she left a bad taste in my mouth and I no longer feel it's worth the hour drive.

Grabbed a dozen on the way home to Milwaukee and couldn't have been more pleased. Ate an old fashioned in the truck on the way home. We worked our way through another 5 last night and this morning. I wish I could explain how freaking good these things are. They have the most balanced, delicious flavors and perfect texture! They are crisp yet moist and kept really well overnight covered in saran wrap in the box. I haven't gotten one that I feel is overly sweet, and that's a common problem I find with donuts! The fruit flavors are bright and bold but not artificial tasting. I've had many specialty donut shops goods (Voodoo, Dope, Cranky Al's, Donut Squad) and I really feel Hurts puts them all too shame! It was totally worth the strange residential drive Google maps sent us through! Easy parking as it was a Saturday evening and the other businesses in the strip were closed. My oreo cheesecake latte was pretty tasty as well!! We will definitely be back to Hurts anytime we are near one!

The people that work at this donut shop are so fire! All of the art, the decor, and the groovy music really help set the tone for a nice donut eating experience with fun donuts and sugar to last a lifetime! If you're trying to get turnt right now up in Iowa City this is the place to be, baby! If you're trying to go on a hot date right now up in Iowa City this is the place to bring that date! If you want to have a lit donut, and not a lame donut, get your buns over in to Hurts Donut Co. and get lit!

Hurts makes donuts. You can walk in and get a glazed donut and it will be large, delicious, and will make you want another. Really though, unless you've been there every day for the last two months, you don't go to Hurts to get a glazed donut. When I say Huts makes donuts, I mean they make really big, really tasty, and really creative donuts. You can get an apple pie donut that has apple pie filling where the hole would normally be. You can get a pumpkin cheesecake donut with cheesecake topping instead of glaze. You can get a cookie monster donut, glazed in blue "fur." You can get a chocolate cake donut with white frosting and mini m&ms called the slim shady. I'm not making this up, I swear. They have a Homer donut, like on the Simpsons. They have cream filled, raspberry filled, and so many more options. It is conveniently located over 8 miles away so I don't have to just sign over my paycheck to them. The people working there recognize the difficulty of making choices when your eyes are open wide in order to take in the variety of choices available. Don't be afraid to take your time. They will guide you along the process, from deciding how many donuts you might take home, to knowing how many more you can choose before you match the number you gave earlier. Do you really only get to pick three more? Don't worry. Come back another day to try some of the other varieties. Trust me,...

Horrible service. We were only customers. I asked questions and he was very flippant. Could be his age. There was decent music playing but from the kitchen I could hear loud rap. I want to post a picture of the awful donut that was in our box. Like it was a reject. I told the young man I wanted two in a bag and four in a box if that was possible. We were picking out donuts how grandaughters dad, mom, and Grandpa. We were going to eat ours there. He didn't give us the opportunity to tell him what went in the bag for there and what went in the box. He just did his thing. The donut for her dad wasn't like to get one in the case. When I serve something I give the best I have. And then paying that much I would want them all to look nice. Then to top it off when paying I could not get a receipt. So my attitude about that. I am not giving you my number or email to sell and if you can't afford to give me a printed itemized receipt I won't be back. My granddaughter who is 7 said grandma these aren't worth the money. I would rather we saved our money and go to the movies. The donuts at Target cost $.69 , taste better. Nothing special about to these donuts. Just buy a can of frosting or...

What can you expect from a donut shop that says it is open 25 hours a day and 8 days a week? Freakin' great donuts is what! Walking into the Hurts Donut shop and stepping up to the donut case you’ll be greeted by donuts and frostings that you haven’t seen anywhere else. The bright blue of the Cookie Monster, the candy laden Twix and Snickers donuts and others will tempt your taste buds and make your purchase decision all the harder. Some of the favorites for my family are the Andes, the Cosmic Brownie, S’Mores and Birthday Cake, among others. If you haven’t been to Hurts Donuts yet – what’s your freakin’ problem? Get to your favorite mode of transportation and head down to check out the most unique selection of donuts you’ve most likely seen in your life.
