Not gonna lie, as soon as I found this place it became a staple of my IC dining and was visited up to three times a week. The empanadas are absolutely delicious and baked rather than fried, which I appreciate. The owner is incredibly accommodating and kind. My surprising favorites were the chicken and zucchini but there are probably four or five other flavors--all of which are equally as mouthwatering. Be careful, once you try these you will instantly have cravings for more!
It's definitely a one man operation type situation which can be difficult given that the empanadas are so popular (meaning that there are definitely times you drop by in the middle of the day and many of your favorites are temporarily sold out). However, I would recommend calling ahead to determine what is in stock because the owner will give you a time estimate by which he will have replenished his stock of your favorites, which you can then pick up...
Read moreI had to edit my previous 5 star review, I wish I could give another 5 stars. I had a very rough appointment today and decided to order some empanadas as a pick me up and it made a very rough day so much better. It is hard to find a restaurant that consistently maintains a high standard in product and service. Every time I order from here the food is perfect. The humita are my personal favorite. The empanadas are so cute and well made, the filling is flavorful and warming. The chimichurri here is my favorite I've had from anywhere. The service is always great, one of the last times I ordered from here my boyfriend and I had my baby with me and he brought the food out to my car! If you get different types he draws pictures of each shape and what flavor it is. Little things like that really are overlooked and show the amount of care and personal touch that goes into the food and experience. Thank...
Read moreEmpanadas have become a regular part of my diet because of Maestro, and I'm very happy with that!! I hadn't tried many empanadas before coming to Maestro. The food is great, customer service is nice, and they always wear masks when customers are around. I've never had to wait more than 25 minutes for them to prepare my pickup orders.
I enjoy getting the Maestro 3 combo and some frozen bake-at-home empanadas. The #3 can easily feed three people (or one person for multiple sittings), and the frozen empanadas taste almost as good as the ones baked at the store. BBQ Pork, Beef, and Breakfast are all tasty flavors, but Humita takes the cake for me. I'm always happy to support this...
