More MEH than impressive.
The store is in an unappealing brick office style strip along Catawba. Pulling into angled on street parking is easy. Exiting is impossible because nobody will let you back up onto Catawba.
The welcome sign outside is the only welcome. The store inside is bright orange! Weirdish I would have expected peach color for the peach cobbler.
The customer is greeted by a large orange wall with a tiny hole and a cash register on the counter. Everything is prepared behind the wall, impossible to see or be enticed by anything. Large sign on the wall with your choices. Wife is highly allergic to cinnamon so we asked about items without cinnamon. We were told many things do not have cinnamon when we asked about them specifically she said oh yeah that has cinnamon in it after having told us it doesn’t weird
Order a sampler flight that came with ice cream. The ice cream must be prepared in advance because again we had asked about cinnamon, allergies, and cinnamon was dusted all over the ice cream. Basically staff is careless to the cinnamon allergy.
EDIT After reading owner’s snarky response to my original review I get why this store is unappealing (more than the lack of decorations and weird orange paint).
CLEARLY the owner does not care about customers or the potential for allergic reactions. Basic training, product knowledge could be taught. Caring must be shown from above.
No display of anything other than a little drink cooler in the corner.
I do not have any allergies so I tried an apple cobbler. Surprisingly tasty probably would’ve gone back if not for the unappealing atmosphere...
Read moreMy husband and I tried this place a few months after it opened the cobblers were tasty but for the then price of Almost 8 dollars, we thought they would have been larger. So the Peach Cobler Factory went on our "occasional" list. Today I was looking around Google maps to find someplace to get dessert and the PCF popped up. So I browsed through the reviews and pictures for any new things. Let me tell you my taste buds where perking up. Then I saw a picture of the menu board that was posted in a review 2 months ago. It stated the price for a cobbler was now $8.49. But then the menu on maps today listed cobler for $10.18. What's with that? Also charging the same price straight across the board. At least try to make it seem like you're giving customers the best deal you can. Plain cheesecake, for example, should be less than others that have a more expensive topping. And if they have two or three toppings those could be a bit more. That way customers feel like they're getting value for they're money instead of getting shorted on the plain. But I still think bumping your prices up again after two months isn't right. I can't justify spending that amount on the portions you give. The expense now puts your shop on the...
Read moreWent tonight (3/6) for the first time and it was exceptional! The woman inside was so welcoming and fast to get our order out. The variety is wide with what to pick from and we got to sample the base banana pudding and it was to die for! It wasn’t too sugary which was perfect. My husband got the peanut butter and jelly shake which he loved. I’m not always a huge peanut butter person, but I would order this shake for myself in the future! I got the chocolate chip waffle and it was delicious. Something so simple was so exceptional. It was the right amount of whip cream and mini chocolate chips and the waffle was perfect. It was sweet and crispy. If I had to have any critic it might be size of the waffle, but that will not stop me from going back and getting it again. Shop theme was really really cute. It’s a bright orange inside which really makes it bright and welcoming. The outside is a nice brick exterior and has easy parking in front or behind the building. You can tell they put some extra effort in the decor. I would love to see how they make everything, but that’s just a visual curiosity.
Overall, was an amazing place and we will be back soon! We plan on bringing my whole family...
