The owners of Rice ‘n Spice will help you figure out exactly what you need for any Asian recipe you’re interested in. Once I just showed him a photo of Korean rice cakes (because I didn’t know what they were called they just looked good) and he said “oh yes Tteok!” And he showed me to a freezer area and pointed them out to me! He even showed me some sauces that work well with them. I love this place so much. My husband and I go there once a week to stock up on tofu and seasonal fruits. Excellent selection with lots of choices and variety, I found everything I wanted quickly, and was surprised at the options in such a small venue... Not just potstickers and gyoza, but several brands and flavors to choose from, for example. Organic, vegetarian and beloved household names too. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Veggies all looked good, meat looked good, again surprising variety, they even had lotus root at a reasonable price. Delighted to find a go-to Asian grocery. The owners are very kind and will often give me advice on the best ingredients to choose for making my favorite Korean dishes. They carry fresh, canned and frozen Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Filipino, Indian products (among others), meat, fish, and a variety of common and unique vegetables, just to name a few!
