SAGE on 17th — Local services in Costa Mesa

I scheduled a consultation with Amy at SAGE on seventeenth. I explained to her that I had been recovering from a hair disaster from another salon two years ago, with only one cut and color in-between, so I was a huge challenge. Gray in the front / brown on the crown and back / and blonde ends that were now almost down to my waist. I asked for her suggestions, and she walked me through what her plan would be to bring my hair back to life. I liked everything about the consultation, and immediately booked an appointment with her for service. Upon arrival, I was excited / and concerned, at the same time (once you’ve had a bad salon treatment, the fear lingers). When I arrived, she put me totally at ease. We went over the plan again. I asked for suggestions. She explained everything in detail, throughout the process. I could tell she was extremely knowledgeable, and I was in good hands (trust me, I can recognize a good stylist (I’ve been everywhere from Beverly Hills to Newport Beach salons over my 56 years of hair treatments). We both agreed that the priority was to get my hair back to its prior healthy, shiny condition. I loved her recommendations. I was so impressed with the amount of detail she took making sure every segment of the process was perfect. When the color was completed, shampooed, and dry ... I was so ecstatic seeing the final results! Absolutely amazed! Amy is a true color artist! The blending of color in what should have been a huge challenge was perfection! And then, to step it up even more, I had decided to do a big cut, and she was ever so careful in every step of the cut, making sure it turned out exactly as I had wanted it to...Asking questions, making sure it was the right length. She would ask questions – I would ask for her recommendation, and together we would decide mutually on what turned out to be on e of the best cuts I’ve ever had. I adore Sage on 17th and my stylist Taylor! The salon is beautiful, calm and the staff are all so friendly. When you check in you are greeted with a drink of choice, which is much appreciated. Taylor is super talented and has such talent with color. I have been going to Taylor for 4 years now and I even followed her from another salon. I just had my latest hair refresh yesterday with a partial highlight and cut, and it came out so great!! Nothing better than that fresh hair feeling. I have been coming to SAGE on seventeenth since the day they opened for hair color and extensions. There are no words to express the confidence I have when I leave the salon, It’s like a full transformation. I absolutely love my hair and would not go anywhere else. I have had the pleasure of working with kekoa ( for my extensions) and ashley (for color). I have never gotten so many compliments when i am out and about and probably referred a dozen people.
