I am writing a review so that the heads of this business pay attention to the managers and conduct training with them to improve their competence in standard processes when "UFC Gym Costa Mesa" clients contact them. Managers are practically unable to answer questions over the phone and only indicate the amount of $ 29, which is indicated on their website. But when you arrive at the gym, you are met by another manager Nick, who talks about completely different prices. I have no complaints about the trainers and the quality of the exercise machines, all the conditions here are good for doing sports. I am writing everything in numbers specifically so that everyone who reads this review understands what they will encounter, since the site only indicates one price of $ 29 to attract attention, but the prices that you will encounter upon arrival at the gym will be very different. I bought my whole family of 6 people a membership in the club: For membership in the club a one-time fee of $100 + for adults $134 monthly, but they charge immediately for the first month $134 + for the last month $134. For a child $99 monthly, also $99 for the first month and 99 for the last month, And they also told me that in a couple of months for each member of the club they will charge another $50, which I will pay annually. So, for example, I bought one of my sons an adult membership since he is 19 years old for the amount of $367 (100 membership fee + $134 first month + $134 last month and after a while they will deduct another $50 annual payment) Since our family is large and it is not profitable for me to pay monthly, we decided to switch to paying an annual subscription, but information about the annual payment is not indicated anywhere. We had to wait some time until the managers Nick find out how much the annual subscription costs. In the end, manager Nick told us that an annual subscription would cost $560 for adults and $870 for children, hence my question why it was more expensive for children than for adults, to which I was told that it was more difficult to work with children than with adults, but why then does a monthly subscription for children cost $99 and $134 for adults, and an annual membership for adults is cheaper than an annual one for children. We did not receive an answer to this. That is, it is not difficult to work with children monthly, but it is difficult to work during the year, therefore it is more expensive, there is no logic in this. But the problem is different, we asked on Monday, February 17, 2025, to tell us exactly how we can switch to annual payment, to which manager Nick said that he does not have this information and he needs to discuss it with management and on Thursday, February 20, he will give us an answer. Now is the time when there is mobile communication and other means of communication in order to quickly resolve any issues in which clients are interested. I think this is a standard process that exists in any business where a client switches from monthly payment to annual payment in order to save money. Today is Thursday, February 20, the manager Nick still does not know how the process of switching from monthly to annual payment occurs and said that he will solve this issue perhaps tomorrow. I repeat, in other companies this is a standard process, there is no need to drag out time and make us wait for an answer, if this manager Nick cannot solve such simple ones, it is necessary to appoint a manager who will promptly solve these issues. Many negative reviews written about this gym indicate that I am right, that there are no problems with the gym, there is a problem with the managers who are focused only on maximum earnings from the client, in this gym there is no transparency in prices, so the prices are taken from unknown sources and they are different. I needed to buy a gi for children for a group class, the managers of the gym require buying a gi from them at an inflated price. Continued in...
Read moreI have been coming to this gym for almost two years now and I am so happy I started. I love the whole layout of this gym. It’s different. There is a super cool area in the back that just feels like a big playground. They have punching bags, weightlifting platforms, and a large turf area where you can train. There are frequent classes that vary in focus led by some really intelligent and cool trainers. I have not taken many classes but the ones I have taken have been incredible. You can always adjust your workout to your ability range and the coaches are super helpful in modifying exercises. The inside area is where they have more of their standard workout machines and the layout is cool. It’s not just one big room. There are different areas and I think they have done a great job in how they have kept the machine areas categorized. They also have their octagon inside which is always cool to see the BJJ classes taking place. The kids’ BJJ is the cutest thing you will ever see in your life, I swear! The community at this gym has been the biggest game changer for me. I have been super out of shape for a long time. The community at this gym had made me feel so accepted and loved. It all started when I walked in one day, determined to change my life because I was incredibly frustrated with myself. I got a tour of the gym and then was introduced to a trainer-Nikki Adams. From then on me and Nikki have worked together over the past two years to get me healthy and learn everything I need to know about working out. Though she doesn’t say it to everyone, she has a master’s degree in kinesiology! That wealth of knowledge has been SO VALUABLE TO ME. Nikki has basically saved me from myself over and over again. When I came in she got me started. When I was giving up on myself she never did. When I experienced small milestones in progress she was my biggest cheerleader. She also leads the recovery area which has been amazing for when I have injured myself! They have a cryo chamber, water massage beds, a big massage chair, and Nikki offers cupping-which at first was scary but omg life changing! I cannot express my gratitude and love for Nikki enough. She is truly a corner stone of this gym and I would never have been able to get to where I am without her knowledge, positive attitude, and kindness. The other coaches have been super wonderful to me, too. Letty, Rachel, Brian, Edgar-getting to interact with them regularly and see and experience their devotion to health, training and having a great mindset has provided me with amazing examples of what changing your mindset and focus can do. It has been such a fun experience overall and it has been so cool to watch this super unique gym transform over the years. I will definitely be continuing to come here for years to come. I will always rate this place five stars. This place saved me and changed my life. I would recommend this gym specifically to anyone looking to truly change and commit to that change. The education I have received from being at this gym and interacting with the staff has been invaluable to me. Worth every single penny, over...
