I have been going to Anthony's for about 15 years. I have referred many friends to him as well. During that time I've taken countless pieces of jewelry to Anthony for repairs (minor and major), resizing and re-tips. Since I never take my rings off, I’m very hard on them and I beat them up pretty good. Each time Anthony repairs them, the repairs are seriously sturdy and strong. I have never had to return anything he's fixed. I recently took in an older diamond ring that needed some major work. I had always wanted a different setting but thought it would be more than I wanted to spend. I mentioned this to Anthony. He suggested a few options for me to get what I really wanted. The cost was just a little more than the expense of just repairing the ring. I was thrilled that I was finally going to get the setting that I've always wanted. Anthony designed a custom ring and made a wax mold for me to see and approve. He arranged it in such a way that far exceeded what I dreamed it would be. I just went to pick up my new one of a kind custom ring and I am beyond thrilled! I love, love, love it!!! I can't stop looking at it! Once again Anthony came through and didn't disappoint. Anthony and his staff are and have always been super friendly, caring and attentive. I completely trust them with all my jewelry and would never dream of going anywhere else. I would highly recommend Anthony’s for all your jewelry needs. I gave them 5 stars but would give...
Read moreWhile I can't complain about the sales staff, I would not recommend Anthony's Jewelers based on our experience.
My now husband and I spontaneously eloped while on his business trip. We had designed a ring we were going to have made. However due to the spontaneity and subsequent finding an Interim ring - I fell in love with that ring. It's simple it's us and will always have a wonderful memory associated with it.
The ring was a little big. We went to Anthony's Jewelers to have it sized. What I got back was NOT my ring. Whether they thought they cleaned it or what-seriously I have NO clue what they were thinking.
We called to express our disappointment-okay I might have been crying a bit. Ending up leaving a message as no one answered the phone during business hours. Have we received a return call? An offer to correct it? (We have since learned it is very simple to deoxidize it). Nope, nothing.
8/10/16 Update: When I had my ring sized it went down 1.25. Seems to me they could have sealed it with the extra silver. However they used some sort of soldering material. Not only is my finger now turning green, but there is a hairline fracture running through the soldering points. Yes I realize the silver is 92.5% and has 7.5% copper and other materials, but that still does not explain the cracks and the intensity of my green finger.
If I could score them a...
Read moreI took a princess cut diamond ring to Anthony's in April to have the diamond lowered. I picked up my ring and headed to the airport to fly home. Once I got home and put the ring on I realized the prongs were rough and caught on everything. I called immediately and said I'd be back in town in Oct. I walked into the store last week to have the ring fixed and was told I had caused the damage to the prongs that they would Never do such a poor job and proceeded to list all the things that were wrong with the job.Two clerks were quite rude. Once I was able to explain that I called and they had noted it on my job order and the paper work was found they took the ring and redid the head at no charge. I picked up the ring and again two prongs caught on fibers. I took the ring to my regular jeweler and asked him to look at the head (I did not give him any details or history.) The prongs were not even and one was not centered on the diamond. My jeweler said the diamond was secure but not even and not straight. I am having the prongs redone!! I wouldl never recommend or use their services again. Poor quality of repairs and poor...
