I spoke to Richard a few days earlier and we made an appointment to meet at his shop. He was welcoming, offered his condolences, and examined what we brought in to sell. He took his time, answered our questions, told us what had value and what was really just "spending money" (his term for "face value" of the coins/paper money). Never open when you need them to be, and unless your bring in solid gold or silver coins from when Jesus was alive he won't buy anything from you everything is for sale, and it's very cramped store with junk over priced, but if you brought something in that he's selling he wouldn't take it for free, cheap always pays with check even if its 10 dollars then if you don't have a bank account with Chase they charge you 7 dollars, and the security guard God Bless him looks like a gust a wind would knock him over so i don't feel save in there and if you do go in not to sell but just to look around be prepared for awkward staring in silence. 2nd worst place to sell your valuables in NJ, first is Garwood, that good would give you 5 bucks for a hundred...

This is a lovely eclectic coin and antique store that harkens back to when I was a child. It's reminiscent of old style ice cream parlors and diners. I always find something new and interesting.
