Big Apple Pizza — Restaurant in Cranford

We regularly order a plain cheese pizza from here. Never in our lives have we ordered a complete pepperoni pie. Tonight, we ordered a plain pizza by phone for delivery. After waiting for an hour, we received a completely pepperoni pizza because whoever took the order over the phone put it into the system incorrectly. The delivery driver contacted his boss and connected us with whatever man was in charge. He insisted that it was our fault, that either we ordered the wrong thing or when whoever took our order read it back to us as pepperoni and we said it was correct. We definitely did not order pepperoni, nor did they repeat our order back and tell us it was pepperoni. He told us that they could either send us the right order, or if we wanted to keep the pepperoni pizza, we had to pay full price for it. After waiting an hour already, we didn't want to wait one more for a different order, but we also didn't want to pay full price for the wrong one. Whoever was in charge continued to insist that we were in the wrong and just didn't know what we ordered. We understand that mistakes happen, but given the situation and our longstanding support of this business, we would have expected more acknowledgement on their part and an attempt to keep the customer happy. We returned the pizza, are expecting a full refund, and we will not be giving this place...

If I could give zero stars I would . This place is absolutely a nightmare! We usually come in and eat and the food is okay, but we recently ordered a pizza for delivery and it came looking like it was tossed upside down . Our next visit we showed the manager a picture and he said he was sorry things happen. He asked why we didn’t call the day it happened? I explained to him that when we eat inside we hear all the employees talking horrible about the guest complaining. I explained one occasion a customer complained on the phone about the delivery taking long . The man making the pizzas started laughing saying they were busy watching the soccer game what did they expect. Another time a man called saying his pizza never came and another young lady was explaining to the manager and he literally calls the delivery guy who says he left it under the bushes and they all started laughing. The manager tells me I must have heard wrong and I’m explaining sir your employees are talking horrible about your guest and you just don’t care don’t worry I won’t be back and he literally says it’s ok some customers you just don’t need !!! It’s okay don’t worry we will go elsewhere where our money is...

Inadvertently put in an incorrect delivery address and used my son's account so they didn't have a good contact number. 100% percent MY FAULT. Since my son didn't get the call right away, they were calling him multiple times. Once he saw the calls, he called me and I called the store right away. The way I was treated by the owner, i don't care how good their pizza is, I wont order from here again. I was asked "don't I know how to put in a correct delivery address"? Was also told the driver was driving around linden for over an hour when I know the order left the store at 12:08 and I was one the phone with him at 12:40. 30 minutes, NOT over an hour. Said he is too busy for this. EXCUSE me, I'm sure this isn't the first time one of his drivers couldn't find an address. He told me if I wanted the order now I had to come to the store and get it!!! This guy was one of the rudest people I have ever talked to at a food establishment. Pretty much told me he didn't need my business.! Don't worry, you wont be getting it in the future. I CANCELED THE ORDER and went to Little Italy...
