My mother has been a US Cellular customer ever since they were first established in Crescent City. She had NEVER had very good reception at her house, she always had to go outside to talk on the phone, to send text messages or listen to her voice mail for all the calls that never rang thru. She thought it was the phone. Last April she received a flyer in the mail for a "FREE" phone. Needless to say, that was not the problem, it's the coverage. They are charging her an arm and a leg for a phone she can't even use at her house so I thought I would put her on my plan so we went to see how much her final bill would be and they are now charging her for her "FREE" phone. I told the lady behind the counter that that was not conveyed to her at the time of the transaction, she had nothing to say for herself.
