Disappointed in Rising Prices – No Longer as Affordable as It Should Be

I used to love shopping at Goodwill, but lately, I’ve been really disappointed with how high their prices have gotten. What was once an affordable option for those in need has started to feel overpriced—sometimes to the point where you could buy new items elsewhere for the same cost (or even cheaper).

I completely understand that costs have gone up everywhere, but for a store built on donated goods, the price increases seem excessive. Goodwill is supposed to be a budget-friendly option, but when secondhand clothing, furniture, and household items are priced close to retail, it defeats the purpose.

It’s frustrating to see a place that was once a great resource for people on tight budgets moving in this direction. I really hope they reconsider their pricing and refocus on making items truly affordable for those who rely on thrift...

(Update 7/2024: prices went up again on items. It’s getting ridiculous. You all want to be the best store then lower your prices and start looking at the store tags. Stop marking stuff just a dollar below box store price. I think u all need to remember most of the stuff is very used and just bec it says it sell for $20 does not mean it’s still worth that. It’s just sad to see it happening) The store is clean and people are very friendly. I’m happy they got a bigger store.The only down side is that they price stuff to high. Items will even have the store price and goodwill will mark it the same price or higher. I pointed out an item and the associate said if you scan the barcode it’s higher in that store. I find that this is ridiculous, you all are receiving items for FREE and they need to be marked up to 90% off the...

Update! Goodwill we need to talk! What the heck is going on? Y’all can start charging these outrageously high prices when you pay for your product…. Last time I checked all this stuff was generous GIVEN to you!! Do give me the bull crap that you help the community, I can’t tell you how many people in Goodwill’s I’ve heard say “I can’t afford Goodwill anymore.” GREED! You know Goodwill is just as corrupt as the government when you can’t even afford to shop there anymore. A bunch of men’s blazers were “special priced” for $50 I could careless what they originally sold for, this is a thrift store not a consignment shop! So sad 😞 just a bunch of junk now and overpriced crap. I found so much more at the other store. Come on...
