Dealership BEFORE it was Glenns, Craig & Landreth was completely unprofessional with my sale. The truck had been modified by the dealership and damaged in the process. Granted the modifications were what attracted me to the vehicle. I learned a pretty good lesson on this purchase. Once I figured out I couldn't afford the vehicle I was walking out and they practically fell all over themselves to sell OR lease me this truck. Offering anything they could and the payments I could afford but ONLY by Leasing this vehicle. I've never leased a vehicle before in my life. I live in a rural area and couldn't due to mileage restrictions. The salesman actually wrote on a piece of paper and signed it that I would be allowed 15,000 miles a year. I'm pretty sure that piece of paper has most likely disappeared since the sale and all paperwork I have currently say I'm only allowed 10,000. FIGURES!! When I test drove the vehicle there was a rattling noise I heard under the front suspension. When I asked the salesman what it was, he blatantly told me "OHH it's OK and been inspected by OUR mechanics and that's just a rattling in the lift kit we put on it, IT'S NORMAL".. I couldn't believe that rattling noises were coming from a BRAND NEW TRUCK. BUT still I was naïve enough to sign the papers, traded my SUV off for 8,000 and drove this rattle box home. At the time I was thrilled, I thought I had gotten a good deal with a good trade in value on my SUV. My husband is a mechanic an upon getting it home we discovered that the fender wells had been ripped up due to the dealership putting too big of tires on it and had not fixed the damage, left it, and it actually stripped the paint off it in some areas. Getting this dealership to even tell us what they had done to the vehicle was a nightmare. Nobody could/would tell us if it was an actual lift kit OR a leveling kit, the sales manager Scott wouldn't even call me back to address the problems my husband found when I got it home with the rattling and the damage that THEY had done. They wouldn't fix it without a fight and delayed our parts that had to be replaced by not ordering them unless I called every day for a week to remind them. THEN they shipped them to us for MY husband to fix not their mechanic who had installed the suspension parts sloppy and left things loose which was causing the rattling.. Joey Craig (the owner) finally had to handle all my correspondences after I had to request to speak with the owner of the dealership to get anything done with my vehicle because his staff would not. NOW at the end of this year 2021, is time to turn in my leased vehicle and get a diesel truck to pull my horse trailers with. I'm dreading this turn in because I was taken advantage of before (my Fault yes) which is what salesmen do when they see women alone looking at trucks (OR at least that was my experience). NOW since they have made their money off me I wonder how difficult this lease turn in will be. I wonder if I'll be charged overage fees for mileage even though the salesman signed that 15,000 would be allowed. I'm very hopeful for a pleasant interaction when the time comes due to staffing changes but still am preparing for the worst. Lets hope this new staff is more professional and have better professional manners and customer service experience. The types of comments the salesman said to me while I was signing the papers were sexist and extremely rude, I should have dropped the pen at the point he told me that the last of his 4 wives wanted a truck and he asked why she only cooked an cleaned.. BUT that was at the end of the sale and I was just ready to get away from him. Hopefully this will go better then...
Read moreWe bought a new 2019 3500 Big Horn from this dealership May of 2020 from one of the dealership salesman Rob, this truck came up on one of my many searches and we began to deal over the phone mainly because of the covid deal. We tied up a deal and the day we sighned was the very 1st day that customers could come into store so the story starts. First prior to making the deal i did speak to Rob the sales man about a concern of the window sticker stating that it had high polished alum. wheels which in the picture showed something different so I ask him to go out to the truck and check them but he didnt he asked the service manager instead which told him if the sticker said it does it has them! Well it didnt which is not a big tie breaker for me but i could have bought another truck for the same price with polished wheels for the same price i paid for this one. We test drove the truck through town and all seemed good so we sighned the paperwork and left to Cincinnati then i noticed an issue , a shimmy in the front and back at the speed of 45 up to 65 MPH. So after we made it home I checked out the truck and really found nothing so I took it to our local Ram dealership and just checking out the front 2 tires that they had flat spots on the tire from setting on the lot for some time without moving vehicle, so Mt Orab Ram ordered one new tire which i still have not recieved on my truck 2 weeks!. I called there service Manager since Mt orab Ram also informed me that ram will not replace all 6 tires and they do not follow under the new vehicle warranty, So Craig and Landreth service manager said that all 6 tires will need to be replaced if they ahve flat spots on them so a week has gone by and no word from him even after leaving msgs on his voice mail 3 times and nothing, sent 2 text to Rob the salesman and nothing in return. So my recommendation for this dealership to future buyers 1st you better go in person and look at the vehicle and not to reley on the sales staff on there knowledge of the vehicle they are selling. 2nd drive that vehicle and if it shimmies and rattles take it right back and have them fix it or replace those brand new tires that they gave the flat spots on. 3rd dont expect a very fast response from any one including the service manager on the new truck that you just spent $63500 on that drive like a flintstone mobile. Not to satisfied with this dealership! ...
Read moreI bought a car for my daughter at the Shively location last year and was assured it had gone through a thorough inspection. After hearing all sorts of clanging noises when we were driving, I took it to reputable mechanic and discovered that two critical metal parts in the undercarriage were BROKEN and hanging down and had to be replaced immediately as it wasn’t safe to drive as is. They also found several other repairs that were essential for safety.
I put in several calls to Craig and Landreth, as well as emails, to try to figure out what exactly they had inspected and how they could have missed these major safety issues that made this car unsafe and unroadworthy. I finally got someone to respond to my email (the salesman was gone within 48 hours of selling me the car) and he assured me he’d get back to me the next day - I never heard back. Then a couple weeks later my daughter went to get in the car late at night in a dark parking lot after a movie to find the battery dead / turns out that the battery was completely corroded. We had it cleaned and it worked for a couple months, then we ended up having to replace the battery. Strangely enough it’s so corroded again that more parts have to be replaced, and it’s not clear how much corrosion has damaged other parts in the engine. Needless to say I decided I wasn’t going to let a new driver (or anyone in the family) drive this car and contacted Craig and Landreth, believing that I was completely taken advantage of when I bought the car. I had just had surgery for breast cancer and had recently started chemotherapy when I bought it, so I wasn’t able to do any real inspection myself (I’m a single parent) or keep pursuing them when they were so unresponsive as I was in the middle of all my treatment. I’ve been appalled by their lack of responsiveness or accountability for selling such an obviously dangerous car (for a new driver), and their unwillingness to make it right since I’ve now had to buy a different used car for my daughter that I’m actually comfortable having her drive. Their lack of responsiveness is what has now caused several long delays in addressing this situation - which I find ironic since their ads are all about quality and convenience. If you’re looking for a dependable used car - and a company that stands behind their cars and cares for their customers - you need to...
