Summery: Poor treatment of customers and over priced for what they serve. Food just okay. Will not be back or recommending.
My friend and I live about an hour apart and thought Wilders Cafe looked like a nice place for us to meet in the middle and discuss a book we have been reading. It’s a small place and several adults with lots of kids walked in filling up the place. We were wrapping up our conversation and about to get ready to leave when an aggravated employee approached our table and asked if we needed anything else and took our plates. We politely said no but thank you. She then stated very rudely that we were costing her business and people were leaving and they needed our table. My friend and I both have never had anything like this happen anywhere before. We were barely there for an hour and half and there is no wait staff so we weren’t holding up someone’s tips/table and had we been we would have left a very good tip. The food and coffee was just okay and definitely not worthy the price. Needless to say we won’t be back and will not be...

Wilder’s Café is hands down one of the best local spots around! This family-owned gem offers exceptional food, a cozy atmosphere, and some of the friendliest service you’ll ever experience. Every time I visit, I feel like I’m walking into a place that truly values its customers.
The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or a quick coffee, you can taste the quality in every bite. Their [favorite dish or item you love] is my absolute favorite—I highly recommend giving it a try!
One thing to keep in mind is that Wilder’s is popular, especially on the weekends. The demand speaks for itself! While the wait can be a bit long due to limited seating, it’s always worth it. I only wish they had more space so even more people could enjoy their amazing food without the wait!
If you haven’t been to Wilder’s Café yet, do yourself a favor and go! It’s a true small-business treasure, and I’ll keep coming back as...
Read moreI wanted to like this place. But I waited just over thirty minutes (based upon my receipt timestamp) after ordering before my food showed up, only to have it handed to me in a to go box... I was dining in, and was never asked if I wanted takeout. Then trying to flag someone down for basic condiments took forever because the customers seemed to be invisible to the staff once their food was handed off.
The menu looks promising, and perhaps some items are. But the chorizo omelet from the daily specials was bland (I could see the meat, but didn't taste it at all). The toast was plain - though perhaps they don't butter it by default here. The only redeeming part of the meal was the potatoes, which were seasoned pretty much perfectly.
For a road trip detour, I left fed, but not really satisfied...
