China King — Restaurant in Crestwood

Terrible!! The owner was rude and the food was outdated and disgusting. I ordered shrimp toast, I have had shrimp toast at many different chinese resturants and know that each place might make it differently This shrimp toast was gray and had a foul smell. The owner took one look at it when I returned and threw it in the garbage. I wish I had taken a picture. I was very nice and tried to explain that the rest of the food was terrible too. My General Tso chicken was yellowish and had a mustard look and taste to it. The girl behind the counter insisted that it was their recipe and I was the first person in 10 years to complain. I accepted this as the truth and considered that it might just be my taste buds...lol..whatever. So then I asked her about the BUGS!!!!!! on my cake roll desert, that I didnt even order but was told it was a gift. I appreciated the gesture but when I told them it had two very small bugs on it they became unreasonable. They would not look at it and acted like they didnt fully understand what I meant. At this point my mother who was with me become angry and went to the car. The mood had changed and suddenly they were taking this personal. I was told there would be no refund and was accused of not even trying the food. SoI left the food on a table and left. People were eating and I didnt want to cause a scene. If you like Bugs, gray and outdated shrimp toast and mustard in your general tso chicken then this is your kind of place. I hope the owner was proud he kept my 30.00 dollars he refused to refund because I will never set foot back...

The BEST Chinese food I have EVER had. Do not listen to the bad reviews. I am a marketing director and own a agency, so I have seen this type of intentional attempt at trying to ruin competition. Crestwood is small, and every mom and pop restaurant is competing desperately for your dollars. So, keep that in mind. I order from China King at least twice a week. I have eaten at almost every Chinese restaurant in Louisville. I have no clue why someone would eat at Panda express...their food is junk. I have watched the amazing chefs at China King make my food. It isn't frozen. If you want the best Chinese food available, eat at this restaurant. If you want to believe all of the fake bad reviews made by desperate struggling crestwood restaurants, then eat at whatever place you want. I don't lie...I have no alternative motive. I do not work there, but I am awesome, own a successful business and eat there several...

The pricing for the China King’s online menu is misleading. The Dinner for Two meal is listed as $21 but the actual price is $25. They wouldn’t honor the online price.

The online menu says that the meal comes with General Tso and Beef and Broccoli, but when we received our order I received Kung Pao Chicken instead of General Tso. When I tried to ask for an exchange, the woman claimed that my wife ordered Kung Pao Chicken, but my wife knows I love General Tso, but there was no convincing the worker that the customer is always right.
