Millie's Playland — Local services in Crystal Lake

My 2.5 year old absolutely LOVED this place. So much so that he did not want to leave. The train tables and model railroad was a big hit! There was plenty for us to do in the 1.5 hours that we were there, and we definitely could have spent more time there. The staff was very friendly, and they were always busy. Whenever they weren’t helping someone at the register they were walking around making sure the place was clean and picking up toys and putting them back in their spots. I was actually quite impressed with how often they were making their rounds and putting the toys back in their original spots. The only reason I am giving Millie’s 4 stars is because you cannot bring a stroller in and the information is not on their website. I did not know about this until I had my toddler and 2 month old in the building and had already paid. I was told my choices were to carry the baby in my arms or carry him in the car seat carrier. Had I known this in advance I would have brought a baby carrier or made other arrangements to not bring the baby or have another adult come with. It totally makes sense why you could not have a stroller in the play space. There’s not enough room for multiple strollers, or really any place to park them. I just wish I would have known about...

Excellent place to bring the little ones for something new, fun, and clean! My 3yr old had a wonderful time at Millie's this morning!! There is so much to do and see! There are various "stations" with fun toys and sensory experiences. Not sure which was my sons favorite... the working train layout got a ton of ton of attention from him, as did the house with a fire that he could put out using the fire hose. Then the slides, the playhouses and play food where he spent time making me lunch. He also loved the salt water tank that is part of the submarine!

There are little snacks and toys available for purchase in the lobby. Also they have a Baby Sloth area for the littlest of visitors.

The playland is super clean! One of the owners had paper towels and cleaner in her hand the whole time we were there, going around cleaning after little hands (and some big hands!) were playing. I did notice that they use all green cleaners which is a huge plus for our family.

We will certainly be back! Masks are currently required for adults. My son wore his mask while we were there as well with no complaints. Think he was so excited to be out of the house and preoccupied with everything to care. I am not sure if masks are required or just suggested for...

We just had our baby’s first Birthday party at Millie’s and it was fantastic! We’ve always loved Millie’s as a playland; this was our first time using it as a party venue and it was perfect! Alicia was extremely helpful and communicative during the booking and planning process. All staff on site during the party were super friendly and helpful. They even helped us carry stuff inside, set up, and keep track of time during the party so we could focus on our guests and kids. Jon, the owner, was there for a bit too and was very friendly with everyone. The dress-up sloth came out, which was a fun addition too! We were excited to introduce Millie’s to so many of our guests and it sounds like they will be coming back and booking parties, too! We had kids ranging from under 1 to 11, and everyone was fully entertained. This will definitely be a future venue for us again. It was so nice not having to worry about cleaning up afterwards and all of our guests had a blast! Multiple people mentioned how great the party room was and how impressive all of the play areas/toys are; we’ve been going to Millie’s for several years, and we are always surprised by what cool new things Jon has added each time.
