Murasaki — Local services in Cupertino

My parents bought futons here 10+ years ago and they are still working fine today. I recently purchased a futon for my own living room and am quite happy with the purchase, quality, and customer service. I got an extra-long queen sized futon which came about to about ~750-800 (I can't remember the exact amount). I think this is a reasonable price for the quality of the futon and their futon covers. The futon itself is very comfortable and the cover is beautiful. I've gotten a lot of compliments from visitors who also report back that it is quite comfy to sleep on. It's the perfect size for 2 guests to sleep on. I really like using their futons as a couch because of the high back. Design wise, you can select your own color and fabric choices for their wide selection of options. I went with the "award-winning" design they had on display. Tan trim with a dark purple ribbon next to the crane design in the middle.

I did have a problem with the futon as part of it started cracking within the first 2 months of use. I called Linda (who sold me to futon) to ask for a solution and describe my problem. I emailed the company address initially and they did not respond. Linda provided her personal address so I could email the photos and she coordinated a replacement part and a "repair visit". They had someone come out to my place on a saturday and replace the part and reinforce the futon. Perhaps the "extra long" version puts too much stress on the side supports? Though there were problems, I really appreciated Linda's help and quick response. She even called me the day of to make sure everything was okay and all the replacements were done at no charge.

Very happy with my purchase and the level of customer service. I don't know if I'll ever need another futon but I'll definitely be coming back...

Update: The sales person called me and refunded the full money. I am now happy with the service and hope every customer is treated with the same trust in the future. Of course, we have known the quality to be very good and it continues to be so. Thanks again for the refund and hope to do more business with you in the future.

We ordered two Cotton futons, two lamps and two neck pillows. Their customer service is top knotch as well as amazing authentic quality. This is my new favorite Japanese home...
