Hongyun Art — Attraction in Cupertino

I have difficulty in getting back the pre-paid money, due to the pandemic closure starting in Mar 2020. I have made phone calls, and even visited their office trying to get refund check.

Every time when I called or visited for a refund, Hongyun would reply: no problem, we would send you a check in 2-3 weeks. Only that after 3 weeks, I did not see a check. When I called again, the clock was reset, and I was asked to wait for another 2-3 weeks. This is a ongoing pattern and it is now mid of August.

In July, I managed to speak to owner. She said sorry to me and told me about the refund amount ($1357). She sounded sincere on the phone, which only turned out to be disappointing. I still do not get the refund at the of writing.

I don’t know what to do. I’ve made many phone call requests, I’ve visited the office in person. I’m embarrassed to make more calls or more visits.

My grandson, Benny, started art classes at Hongyun this school year (3rd grade). Our goal was not for him to become a great artist but to learn sufficient skills to independently work on school projects and illustrations needed for humanities and language arts assignments. Of course, we also hoped that he enjoys art for his own amusement and expression.

Hongyun has exceeded our expectation in every aspect! Benny's teacher as well as the staff provide a nurturing environment for him to explore and learn. Benny has also developed the confidence and love to express himself through art: drawing, painting, comics, and clay sculpture. Drawing for school projects and assignments is no longer stressful for him and us!

My son has been with Hongyun Arts for 7+ years now, and the progress he has made in his art skills is truly remarkable. He loves Hongyun Arts because the classes are engaging, fun, and give him the freedom to bring his ideas to life.

The teachers are not only knowledgeable but also patient, creating a welcoming environment where children feel free to express themselves creatively. I appreciate how the program nurtures creativity and encourages exploration of various mediums, from painting to sculpture.
