On Thursday, 10/26/2023, I was on the hunt to smell and purchase at least two Tom Ford perfumes. My first thought was to check Ulta near me in Homestead, but they didn’t have the scents I was looking for. I decided on my way to the Falls or to Dadeland that I would stop at Southland Mall just to see if they possibly have the scents I wanted. I stopped by JCPenny’s and Macy’s. They didn’t have what I liked. My last ditch effort was to stop by Perfumania since it was on my way out. I walked in and greeted the first woman at the counter that I made eye contact with. She smiled and motioned for another employee to speak to me instead. The employee was an older lady, in all black with a clipboard, not paying me any mind even though I was the only one in the store. I assume she’s the manager. I asked if she had any Tom Ford perfumes in stock. She asked which ones. I told her the scents I was looking for. She went behind the counter and grabbed a tiny bottle of Tom Ford’s Rose D’Amalfi (not the original scent I wanted) and announced the price of the bottle to me. I asked if I could smell it. She said no and put the bottle away. I was irritated because it seemed like she simply wrote off the conversation as if I wasn’t planning to make a purchase. I left and went on my way to purchase THREE Tom Ford perfumes from another retailer in Dadeland. The “big” bottles. I included the pictures for reference. What a loss, in sales, for Perfumania.
I don’t understand how some establishments can conduct business this way and still remain open. Hopefully, when Southland Mall gets its facelift and reconstruction, Perfumania won’t be there, and we can have better retailers at this location. I’d prefer to spend my money with retailers that appreciate the interactions surrounding a sale and would do what they could to make it a pleasant experience. With Perfumania, I felt like I was an inconvenience…like I wasn’t the customer they are...
Read moreIf I could give it a -0-I would! I bought 3 perfumes 2 the same and 1 was a different essence, when I approach the cashier and told her I want the change two of the same perfumes because it smell really bad, she try talking to the manager in charge from a few steps away and the manager (CHAVEL) before she said what was wrong with the permfumes she starting rolling her eyes at me, I felt very uncomfortable (chavel) kept rolling her eyes and told me that the perfume wasn’t bad, I explain to her that my daughter had the same perfume and it didn’t smell Like that, she kept questioning me about the perfumes, I think you should have better managers with a better attitude, especially dealing with customers all day. I won’t recommend your store to anyone. The worst experience..
Ps. The girl that took care of us was (Shakira) a very nice young girl, she apologized for the manager been...
