I am not one to ever leave reviews, especially bad ones, but I want to warn others. I went in today to get a full set of nails before even seeing a nail tech I showed the manager what nails I wanted and asked if this was possible (all photos posted). She said yes and that she would get a nail tech who was capable to help me with this style. When seated, the nail tech (Kacey) approached me and said nothing. I didn’t care as I knew she was working and didn’t bother me. I showed her the design, and she said she could do it. During the first ten minutes of service, she was on her phone watching her cameras in her house while she held my hand and did nothing. She eventually put her phone down and began asking me questions I didn’t understand. When I asked her to explain she rolled her eyes and said she would do the cheapest. She then began telling me that what I wanted cost more money. She treated me like I was poor and couldn’t pay for what I wanted. I wanted a white French tip with bows.it took her over a hour JUST to paint the white for the French tip. She then painted the bows and never gave me an opportunity to look at the bows as she was constantly grabbing my hand to paint the next or shoving my other hand in the dryer every time I tried to pull away to look she refused and pulled my hand. they were awful When I could finally look at them. They were sloppy, enormous, transparent, and uneven. I kindly told her this is not what I wanted and if she could just remove the bow. She then told me if I didn’t like it I could try and do it myself. I didn’t say anything as I was to stunned to even speak. She then aggressively grabbed my hands and drilled them all off. I really wanted a Christmas themed nail as that is the whole reason I came in so I simply asked for her to do candy caneFrench tip so they wouldn’t just be plain white. After showing her what I meant she again rolled her eyes and said this is to much it looks ugly. When I told her no this is what I want she was rude but still did it. When I went up front to pay, the manager asked to see my bow nails designs.when I showed her the nails she asked what happened and why I didn’t get bows I said, “ oh the bows didn’t turn out well so I decided on candy cane” at this point I truly didn’t mind the candy cane nails and just wanted to leave because I had already been there for over 2 hours and wanted to get home I told the manger multiple times that I was okay with the candy cane nails but she insisted on making it right and having them redone the original way I wanted. this caused a huge problem with Kacey the nail tech as she was mad and causing a huge scene I felt so uncomfortable as she was screaming at me and at all the workers around. the manger sat me back down to get my nails fixed and Kacey walked up behind me and hit me in my back and yelled at me if you didn’t like your nails you should have said so you said you were fine with candy cane. She then proceeded to walk around the nail salon screaming about me. Then I was given a new nail tech Vanessa who was so amazing and kind she did a wonderful job fixing my nails and giving me the nail design that I originally came in for the manger and host were so kind! I was charged 95 dollars for this nail design which I’m pretty sure they just added extra charges but at this point I was so exhausted and wanted to leave because I had already been there for...

Update: So having been serviced here (twice since) recently, they've stepped it up with some apparent redesigning and all. And definite improvement on cleanliness whereas there were not insect carcasses in sight. As for service, it's been a mixed bag. A better clean up on the cuticles for a spa pedi would've been appreciated.

I’d patronized this nail salon only a handful of times before. Not long after their grand opening, had a pleasant experience with a polite, young nail tech. But the last couple of times, the results were mediocre, service was kinda blah and the techs did a poor job around the cuticle falling short of a clean, flawless look of a great French tip pedicure. So stayed away for a while but since in the area broke away from the usual DIM (do it myself) routine and decided to give it another shot (2/27). Just before noon, it didn’t take too long to get paired up with a tech. This being akin to a back-handed compliment bc quite pleased with the results: the cuticles were cleaned up, calluses ridded etc. Plus, the front receptionist (greeting and all) set the tone. But the service side….quite underwhelming. With a tendency to be a loyal customer, if the food’s great but service is trash, moving along. On the contrary, great service/ hospitality is like a lost art (esp in Houston-yes I said it). I give people credit for trying to deliver on good service even if the food/ product needs work.

After a brief visit to the restroom, walked up to notice a dude sporting a best-one-can-do comb over, preparing the station. Awkwardly, with no greeting or a simple smile upon approach, as to break the ice I was like, ”Okay, so we’re getting started here huh?” Received a nod and sort of mumble instead of like a, “Hi, my name is…” or “Hey there, let’s get started.” I’m not one for much conversation as I like to spend time reading or playing games on my phone but some type of hospitality or dialogue is expected in these establishments. Dude didn’t say much of a word and made for a rather awkward service experience. Wasn't like there was no language barrier, as he inquired about color, asked if the water temp was okay (which was courteous) and if I was interested in a special callous removal service. Some people are quieter than others and that’s fine bc the I don’t prefer a yapper, but nor crickets- just somewhere in between. And surely mindful that some people are quiet or could have a condition (e.g., Autism spectrum) related to social awkwardness. Usually, the nail tech asks a few, not too personal questions, to be cordial, then gets on with it, so I can then relax and look forward to [hopefully] great results.

Pros: A Mimosa was offered and the bathroom was clean.

Cons: Male tech dude needs better customer interaction skills but will say he was courteous otherwise. Cited a couple of small roach corpses behind the pedi spa chair, black scuff-marked on the opaque chairs in the waiting area up front and the mini water bottle from which I sipped (thank Lord for not gulping) tasted fume-like. Seemed like these were stored in the back near chemicals or something.

Con-ish: Are the channels ever on anything other than dated episodes of...

If I could give them a zero I would . They overcharge for their services, rude, and do what they want to your nails without asking the customer. My daughter had the worst experience ever on yesterday 7.26.23. My daughter always gets french tips and always pays around $55. She visited the one on Fry Rd. She went in to get powdered french black tip nails. Nail tech was Jordan, during the whole experience he was on a personal phone call. He starts her nails after he cut the first one he asked if the length was ok; fortunately it was the length desired but that should have been a question asked before he started cutting but i guess he's phone conversation distracted him from the customer he had sitting in front of him. He files the side, completes the nails, add cuticle oil and gets up and walk off to the back. She was charged $85 for this service. When she paid she asked for the receipt. The receipt showed 45 for powder, two charges for shape and length and two charges for designs. So my daughter asked why she was getting double charges the lady at front counter began to explain is that she got tapered square as opposed to just square and because of the length. My daughter told her that doesn't make sense and that she felt she was being overcharged for services that she didn't ask for(doing what they want to do). The front counter lady gives her back 5...wow. I go back up their with her after work and I have her wait in the car. I took a picture of her nails and I go in. I go in as a patron looking to get french tip nails with black tips. She asked if I wanted dipped, acrylic or powdered. I told her powdered. She asked if I had a picture of what I wanted and I show her yes a picture of my daughter nails. She looks at it and says...wait for it....$55. I then ask why was my daughter charged $85. Ok, so she's not sure why so she calls someone (I am assuming the lady that was their earlier in the day) to ask why she was charged that amount. They proceed to tell her that it was because of the length of the nails and the depth of the french tip(he never asked her what depth or how she would like her french tip and never was told that it would be an upcharge) and then she says because she got pink powder instead of clear....really. The lady said well she gave her back $5. Make it make sense. Never, ever again. ...

Josie did a fabulous job for polish change. I had already unprofessionally cut my own cuticles therefore she did amazing at cleaning up my mess up. Perfect color for fall. I used color “965” on both hands & feet. Lina did my pedicure. ;)
