Be careful when shopping online and for delivery. I have gotten so much rotten/ molded stuff sent to me and I have to throw it away. Groceries are too expensive for that. I just ordered last Saturday and I’ve already had to throw away half a bag of lemons and a whole loaf of bread. Like I said, groceries are too expensive for that.!!! When I used to shop myself, I would inspect things and they would last me 2+ weeks. But with the shoppers in store they just pick up anything and they don’t look at them. I can’t tell you how much stuff I’ve had to throw away I wish I had taken a picture of the lemons that I had to throw away a few days ago, there was five in the bag and I had to throw away three and now this whole loaf of bread. See pic below…I used to shop myself but I can’t now because I got really sick so this is my only option for now.. Can’t wait for the new HEB to get in. Hopefully the management and online shoppers will be better. On top of that this is their own brand. So at the very least don’t buy that brand! But it’s happening with produce as well. I saw somebody comment on moldy strawberries. I see that all the time. Even if you shop in store, you have to inspect everything really well, but obviously the in-store shoppers are not doing that.

Im very upset because I placed an order online for curbside pick up on Monday so I ordered some veggies and on the notes I put Fresh because lately everything I got fruit or veggies they come all bad! I dont like to get curbside pick up but because Im pregnant Im doing it right now. Well yesterday Tuesday 06/28/2022 When I got the lettuce out to make a salad I looked at the lettuce and it was all bad! I checked the date and it said 06/16/2022 really??? and I placed the order on Monday 06/27/2022 so it was already expired I was so mad why do they do that? it seens like everytime I ordered online all my products are about to expire or they already are! that is not fair because I end up putting everything on the trash and wasting my money! besides that evreything feels like they have been outside the frigde for hours! my eggos that they suppost to be frozen were all melted. You guys need to work in something because you need to stop all that!

Used the carwash on Friday (11/25), it only washed the top and passenger side of the car. Went on Sunday to request a rewash and found that the wash was still broken. I reported the issue to the teller who offered a refund, but I declined and asked that it instead be fixed. When I left the store 30 minutes later I noticed that the driveway wasn’t blocked and that the store was still taking people’s money for incomplete carwashes. I called the store to ask what would be done to prevent other customers from wasting their money. I was told by the department manager that they won’t shut it down unless its broken and people are complaining. Apparently it takes more than one dissatisfied customer, and apparently washing only 40% of a car is worth full price and zero disclosure. HEB needs to close the wash until it’s properly repaired and updates it’s policy to test the wash more frequently.

Nasty parking lot, anti-2a signage, and bully security guards.

Y'all remember when H-E-B was the place the affluent families went to buy their groceries? I didn't step foot in my first H-E-B until I was in my teens because my family just couldn't afford it.

Fast forward a good 15 years and this place is more ghetto and dirty than the local Wal-Mart stores. Some of the stuff here is cheaper, but you pay for it by shopping with people half naked, in pajamas, drunk, or smelly.

That wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the anti-2nd amendment signage on the store. No carry of firearms permitted. Licensed or unlicensed, concealed or unconcealed. So the store must have great security, right? Absolutely not.

One of the last times I visited this store, the security guard, for no reason, walked to the center of the cross walk and pulled out his phone and just stood there. He was making a flexing posture, probably trying to look intimidating. Cars started to just go around him because he was blocking everyone. Eventually, he slow-walked to the store like he was in a movie, learned back against a brick wall, spread his shoulders to look cool again, and started playing on his phone.

I've seen security at other H-E-B locations walk around the lot and ask people what they were doing there, but this was probably the most obvious power trip I've seen so far.

I do not trust H-E-B because of their incompetent budget friendly security company and their anti-2a stance. I do not feel like my family can safely shop here because of this, but I don't see it changing. This place has gone down hill in a bad way. Maybe it's the area, maybe it's just a...

This really should have been 2 reviews because I had a very unique experience. For starters, this isn’t my normal H‑E‑B. However, on my first visit, I came to the store looking for a very particular item. That’s when I first met Omar (and another woman, who I forget the name of; maybe Omar can pass her info on, because she was also part of the team who went above and beyond.)They checked isles. The checked seasonal displays, they checked the back, they looked everywhere. It’s rare to leave a store empty handed and yet feel like you had an exceptional experience. Omar took my information and said they’d follow up. I’m not going to lie, I was skeptical. Until I got a phone call today. I feel like it was 2 weeks since the first visit, and they had followed up. They held the item! Do you know how uncommon it is in the service industry for something like this?! When I mention this item, I’m talking about a very difficult, very popular kids toy that is almost impossible to find anywhere. They could have easily handed it over to anyone, but they said they’d hold it and they did!! Are you kidding me?! I’m still blown away by this. I love the H‑E‑B by my house but this store, these employees are special. They came through with a Christmas miracle and were content with knowing they had simply done their job. I cannot say thank you enough. This store, these employees and Omar deserve recognition. In a day where people are quick to put up something negative, I wanted to make it a point to show my appreciation. This level of excellence needs to...

I'm reducing my original rating. See below for original opinion.

It has been several years since I've been shopping here and the disappointment continues to build. The place is always jam packed. I know this is no fault of the store, but it is rediculous that you can't find a parking spot even at some times when I've tried to go at off peak hours... First issue that I've had repeatedly is the shoppers for the online order people and I have complained about this in my HEB reviews directly, but these giant carts clogging up isles during peak shopping times is absurd! Three giant carts blocking up whole isles. SHOP DURING LESS BUSY TIMES.

Second, I have put up with many frustrations and disappointments at this store, but after accusing my daughter of shoplifting sending a creeper to follow her all over the store(including the restroom) and initiating a multi-hour ordeal that was completely unnecessary and completely mis-handled by Harris country pct 5(again) only to find out that THERE WAS NO SHOPLIFTING!!! I don't think I have any more patients for this store.

Sorry HEB.

original review Best grocery in the area. The store is clean, spacious, well lit, well laid out. Selection of locally sourced items is solid. The manager(s) always seem to keep the right number or registers open so that the lines move at a reasonable pace. They carry a wide variety of items from home and patio to pharmacy, health food and supplements, baby items etc. Great prices and cool...
