Peeping Tom situation:
I went to this tjmax location on August 18, 2025. I had to use their changing rooms to try on some clothes. I was doing fine trying on their clothes until a male kid intentionally kneeled down on the floor and peeked under the door of the dressing room I was in. I was only in my underwear, all I could say was “hey!” and he ran away. I really thought this was a safe store.
I found out that his mom was in the dressing room next to me and she got 3 male kids running around the changing room. These kids are around 10-12 year olds. I immediately informed their sales associate, and she told me she’ll bring it up to the manager and that I can also complain to the manager myself. I was also able to tell the mom about what happened and she told me that the staff had already told her and that she’s sorry.
This uncomfortable and upsetting experience has shaken me up, I would expect tjmaxx’s dressing rooms to be a safe and a private space for customers to remove their clothes to try on their products. Especially that they have two separate dressing rooms for men and women. I understand the staff tried to do what they can but this wouldn’t have happened if unsupervised children are not allowed in dressing rooms. I’m aware that this review may or may not change their dressing room policy or the behavior of that kid but I had to bring it up to the staff and to his mom in hopes that these things never happen again. This is also to warn the shoppers of this store to be wary of peeping...
Read moreYesterday, I went to this location to return a silver ring that I purchased 2 weeks ago, all the 3 tags perfectly attached to it.
If you know silver, silver jewelry reacts with hydrogen sulfide, which is present in the air, This chemical reaction causes the jewelry to tarnish or stain when it is touched. If you polish the ring with a clean piece of cloth, you can easily remove the fingerprints or stains,
Well, the ring had 2 little black dots on it, which I had not even noticed. I told the clerk that it might need to be clean with a cloth. The clerk replied very rudely that I had to clean it at home myself. After hearing that answer, I requested a manager. The manager also gave me a hard time, and she accused me of worn the ring. I kept saying silver is easy to stain and to clean as well, I asked them to provide me with a piece of cloth to clean it myself, and she said they didn't have any (?). I have purchased silver in the Galleria area and other TJMAXX, where they have something to clean jewelry, and their clerks are very polite. The manager ended up accepting the return, but she threatened me, "This was the last time."
I felt humiliated, and for no reason. I would not be typing this long review if I had worn the ring or if I had done anything wrong. These people need customer service skills, training, knowledge on silver, a piece of cloth to clean jewlery, and lots of common sense. Horrible customer service at the jewelery counter with the clerk and manager at...
