the vibes at coba are immaculate, the space is beautiful, the facility is clean, and the production value is top notch. you can tell a lot of effort goes into making the environment feel special, and that part is truly impressive.

that said, i was really disappointed to see that there’s no free access to water. charging over $5 for a single bottle isn’t just pricey, it feels like a shady business tactic. and worse, it creates a real safety concern. if you expect people to drink, dance, or rave here for hours, dehydration becomes a serious risk. even a simple gatorade-style cooler with cups of water would be enough to make a huge difference.

venues have a responsibility to keep their patrons safe, and free access to water should be the bare minimum. until that’s addressed, it’s hard to fully recommend the space no matter how good...

The DJs are nothing more than human Spotify playlists, lazily churning out whatever is trending on Beatport with zero taste, zero identity, and zero shame. You’ll hear the same tired tracks on repeat all night because almost nobody that plays here has the taste to actually curate a set. The dancefloor is a cramped, miserable space mostly consisting of creepy men and coked-out zombies barely capable of standing upright, much less dancing. The floor layout feels like an afterthought, as if whoever designed it had never set foot in an actual club — or had already blacked out when they did.

Do not believe the high ratings. I don’t leave negative reviews, but I had to say something. They had my car towed. I’ve been parking there for years. When I asked the company who called, they said the Coba owners call for tows every weekend. Which is funny seeing as I always see their staff out there selling spots. Also interesting how every time they get a negative review two more positive ones from friends/fam of the club owners pop up. Maybe there would be fewer negative reviews if they actually listened to some of the feedback. I was so excited when a new after hours club opened here. But my experience with them has just been so...
