Gaston College — Local services in Dallas

I LOVE Gaston College. I started at GC last year, the fall semester being my first ever semester of college. (As well as my first ever public school experience - being a former homeschooled kid for 12 years) I had no clue what to expect and quite frankly, I went in thinking that I would fail (I know, that's unhealthy). I was eligible to became a member of TRiO Student Support Services and joined them my first fall semester. They have not only helped me understand how to apply for financial aid and register for classes, but they have also taught me that I can indeed succeed. TRiO at Gaston has supported me from the beginning. I can definitely say I wouldn't be as confident and determined about succeeding had I not went to Gaston. I decided that I wanted to pursue veterinary medicine. After hard work, I made it into the vet tech program this fall and am super excited about it. Ive gone through two semesters and I have been blessed with great teachers so far - only one class did I thoroughly not enjoy and have issues with. The teachers that I had genuinely wanted to see me succeed and did everything they could to help me. I am super hopeful and excited about my next two years at Gaston. I would recommend Gaston to anyone. It's a great place to get started college wise, and it's also a great place to find an associate degree and go straight into the work field. I love their cute little shop and their library is set up awesome.

I don't know how closely the Fire Training Department is tied to the College itself but I go to Gaston College once a year with my work for Fire Brigade Training, IMO the Fire Training facilities are Top Knotch. I can't say I've been to other Fire Training Facilities but I can't imagine others being better than Gastons. The instructors are well experienced in fire fighting & are eager to share their experiences & knowledge. I know some of them are part time help & full time fire fighters.The burn building & the flashover trailer are were I had my most memorable experience. All around...

Gaston College is a truly extraordinary spot to join in. They offer a colossal assortment of classes. They even have some free classes. Those are the ones I joined in. The clinical programming is the best one. The two educators are breathtaking. It is a casual air. They keep us all socially far off. Everything is all around cleaned. The cover strategy is completely authorized. Yet, we live it up and you meet a great deal of new individuals and you get familiar with a phenomenal expertise or can spruce up on an old ability.
