Setup an appointment for my wife this morning for 4:50pm today using website. She is a long time suffer of lymphodemia of her legs below the knees. I explained this issue on the website appointment setup site.
Appointment was setup as noted. FYI, this office is 3 blocks from our house, but we never use because of bad reviews.
Received a phone call from this location today about 8:15am stating they WOULD NOT SEE HER FOR THIS APPOINTMENT. Instructions were to go to the hospital instead.
This was a voice mail message so I called this office to clarify their reasoning and the details of my wife's symptoms, since she has suffered this same issue before.
EARLIER we had a DALLAS MEDIC TEAM look at her issue and they were not concerned about a blood clot and no need to go to the emergency room.
After explaining this to their nurse, she coldly stated their doctors would not see her, even if we were only 3 blocks away. Our goal was for her to be seen by their doctors, before making an informed decision to go to an emergency room.
??? - Was the real issue due to having only Medicare coverage only? Being retired on SS, health care costs are a big concern and we try to be careful of irresponsible health care decisions which can increase overall costs for every one.
Bottomline is - be aware of this location's Low Review Ratings, before choosing to utilize...

I called the practice 3 weeks ago needing a refill on an ongoing med that my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance in needing a prior authorization. for whatever reason I'm not being told keeps being kicked out through my great insurance. Lol . If you see this message Kenneth Burgess could you Please help me. 3 weeks without a med that I've been on for over 10 years is terrible. I have tried everything Possible to try and get this med or one that can replace it would be fine. Every time I call the practice I'm told it is going to take more days to get this problem fixed. I live an hour and a half away and canāt just drive up there any old time. Now I will likely run out of my medicine which I need daily. It appears they have zero concern for my wellbeing and I will be filing a complaint to Caromont. Not to mention whoever (anonymous user) replying to my messages was extremely rude. Iāve seen Dr. Scanlan for probably 20 years and now to be treated this way is appalling. I donāt believe it was him, however this person represents his office and therefore I will not be returning.
