Royal Catering catered my sister’s wedding reception in early December 2018. The food was good. HOWEVER, the service was inadequate.

One problem, the individual to-go containers for the food were not provided for the left-over food as requested by my sister and confirmed with Kaitlin. The left-over food was packaged in huge aluminum containers and left in the kitchen to only be discovered after the wedding reception was over and only some of the wedding party remaining.

Secondly, the cake was placed in the to-go containers provided by the bakery for the left-over cake, but the cake-filled containers were left in the kitchen. No one was told. The guests left without getting the extra food or the extra cake. Needless to say, the majority of the food and cake was thrown away!

Additionally, the catering staff left early without notifying anyone. The catering staff left and did not mention the food and the cake were left in the kitchen. The catering staff just disappeared. My sister was charged for more hours than the catering staff worked.

Yes, she called Royal Catering after returning from her honeymoon in an attempt to voice her concerns. She spoke with two managers, Leslie and Leah. Neither of them accepted any responsibility for the inadequate service of the staff nor made any attempt to address my sister’s concerns.

My son and daughter-in-law "to be" wanted a small, intimate family wedding - But at the same time they also wanted a special home reception afterwards. Kaitlin came out to the backyard home venue and listened to our wish list of details - She offered her experienced input and helped us to come up with a menu and tent and seating options to work within our budget.

On the day of the wedding - Kaitlin and her staff were well prepared. The food was exceptional, the servers were professional and attentive - And Kaitlin - who may have looked like she was 'behind the scene' - Was actually ever so present to make sure that every detail was being attended to.

I know my son and beautiful new daughter-in-law could not have asked for anything more! Our guests raved about the service and the food and how beautiful everything looked and had come together. The venue was a backyard wedding paradise.

I was incredibly disappointed by this vendor. During the planning process, Kaitlin, added things to the contract without communicating to me what she was changing, and then didn't mention it until I was smart enough to compare the new contract to the original. She was adding things that were adding hundreds of dollars to the order. This was not acceptable especially because she was not communicating these changes. Then, the wedding day comes. The food at the reception was good, except for the fact that they totally forgot our caesar salad. After being informed of this, they argued with my mom saying they weren't supposed to have caesar salad. After getting the contract saying we were supposed to have caesar salad, they finally believed us. Then, they didn't have enough food to send with me and my husband with us to our hotel after we left, even though they said they would do that. After being informed of that, we were informed that they didn't do that because there were only "scrapings" left. This lead to a new problem. We had ordered food for 200, and we only had 180 people at the reception. This should have meant we had more food, but we did not. I was not happy with this place and do not recommend working with...
