Ok I am not one to write reviews because I usually keep quite and wait patiently. BUT the Level of unorganized employees working at this store and the amount of mixed information I have been receiving on a order I had placed on November!!!! MIND YOU NOVEMBER 16th 2020 if I'm going to be exact is just PLAIN HORRENDOUS!
Story:
I had ordered Kitchen cabinets from a nice woman called Cherelle I believe she was a kitchen designer, PAID THEIR DELIVERY and made sure it was covered with warranty, mind you waited 4 weeks for them to arrive once I opened the box of the kitchen sink base, I noticed the door was broken like really bad I could not believe how poorly handled they must have been dealt with.
I call Cherelle up but no answer at first, when I went into the store a woman said she quit a week ago and no longer works there. so I ask the woman "who can I talk to about this problem?"
The woman tells me " you would have to go to another store in person in order to have them look it up and re-issue another order for that 1 cabinet, there's no one right now in that position and it takes about 2-4 weeks to train someone on that position"
at that point I'm like wow no one else in this department can help me??
I brushed it off and drive another 10-15 min to the next store. I talk to a nice Guy who worked in that stores department. He tried to help me out but apparently even though Home Depot is a big business chain their "system" aren't all linked together and you can only make the changes at the store where you purchased your kitchen cabinet (which I think is STUPID) he then tells me due to Covid it would take them 7 weeks!!!! 7 WEEKS!!!! to get me that cabinet, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FINISH MY KITCHEN WITHOUGHT THE MAIN PIECE AND FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I SPENT ON THE CABINETS !??
I called up the stores sales rep. Mr. Max Martinez and he helped me get it re ordered along side Ms. Constance they "expedited" the order and told me that in their system it said it would arrive today January 6th 2021.
I called then yesterday January 5th 2021 because I had not gotten any calls or notifications on my order (mind you postponed finishing the kitchen that I needed in order for me to move in because I need that sink base cabinet.) and the first lady tells me its there but was set for me to pick it up in their system, not delivered to my home and that it arrives the 6th of January, that its not at the store (when the other lady told me it was).
Already I'm getting upset because they did not call and they tell me its there at the store but then the other lady says its not and that it arrives the next day. It gets worse when she passes me over to another lady and she tells me that I would have to PAY THE SHIPPING AGAIN! if I wanted it delivered to my home.
At that point I'm already LIVID! but I tell her look can I speak to someone above you that can help me with this I'm not mad I'm just trying to get my point across with something. (she then passes it to the 3rd person)
I told the 3rd woman "Listen I am trying to get this last cabinet to finish up my remodel so I can move in, but everyone is giving false information right now. And then you guys say I would need to PAY the shipping again for the new cabinet when I had ALREADY PAID THE SHIPPING BEFORE HAND for the old one and under Home Depots "CARE" was delivered all destroyed to my home. I told her if that makes any sense to her?
she told me to call up today January 6th 2021 ask for Ms. Constance and she would be able to take care of everything for me. I call Up in the morning and the person who attended me said that it still has not arrived but to call in a couple of hours. I called at 10:17AM today mind you.
When I call again at 3PM Ms. Constance tells me her system says its still being made but that the ETA is supposed to be tomorrow January 7th instead of today.
HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE!
Un-organized staff with outdated information, a system that isn't linked to other stores fully. I Have so much more to write but ill Exceed the character...
Read moreAs a frequent Home Depot customer I am almost ashamed to say it in relationship to this NW Dallas store. Pulled in carts of all sorts everywhere in the parking lot. I get it sort of. It was raining. However, I drove along way to get to the this store. The online inventory for a particular toilet my customer requested showed 13 in stock. So I'm thinking fairly close to customer. I'll go here. Anyway, back to the store. Walked to the plumbing area. Found toilet area, but model I needed. Spot on display empty. Ok that is not good. Checked all around racks, top, bottom, middle. This aisle adjacent isles. No luck. So 13 in stock, I must just not be seeing them. Search for help. Find 3 employees. At least they had Home Depot apparel on. Looked at me like a was crazy for asking. But, one guys says find someone in plumbing. I look at him curiously. He decides to walk me toward plumbing and says as him. He is the one with the apron. I'm at this point a bit unhappy, but has to get better. Nope -- not by a long shot. This employee seriously, when I asked, gave me the "how dare you ask me to help you look for something" attitude. So he walks to the toilets. Shows me the display. Says its empty. Then says we don't have any. I say "it shows online you have 13?" He says "I show we have 14, but it must be wrong" So I say : "That would be a lot to be off, is there a plumbing manager?" He says: "No" I ask "is there someone else? maybe a store manager? He says "he is somewhere"
This went on and on. He did nothing easily, really did not try. Didn't ask for help. Didn't want to help. Didn't care that inventory was missing or wrong. Generally speaking was one of the worst representatives for Home Depot I have ever seen.
I wish it was just him, but as I moved around in the store. It is generally unkempt, disorganized, dirty, employees don't look happy, and customers didn't either.
In the end I left. Still needed the toilet. Had to drive to Carrollton Home Depot hoping they had them in stock. Online said they did. They did. And it saved the day for Home Depot.
The hugely ironic thing is this. NW Dallas store has a training center, basically on site. I pray the employees and managers at this store did not learn here. If they did Home...
Read moreI bought a heavy duty DeWalt stapler. I had to protect job. With heavy duty plastic. And the stapler did not work. When I went to return the stapler to home Depot I did not ask for my money back. All I said was May you please replace my stapler. They could not do that for me. Now I couldn't do the job how I wanted to. I got behind on my job. I couldn't protect what I needed to as I wanted to. And I ended up . And I ended up finishing late. I was upset that this happened to me. I'm not the typical person that likes to return things. That takes up too much time. But I was so upset that even though I had to go the extra mile and go to this home Depot where the streets are under construction. Taking more of my time. And then I don't get a simple exchange. I'm not asking for my money back. I'm not asking to give me back that time that I lost at work, for the time I lost finding the store, or fix the problem at the job. I ended up having to tape thin plastic with tape instead of staple in heavy duty plastic where I needed to. So I'm taking the time of giving this complaint. Because home Depot specially this particular home Depot could not take care of a simple exchange. Sorry that this home Depot could not lose $30. While I lost a lot more then $30 on this day due to this cheap product that was sold to me. So I am burning not only home Depot but that DeWalt product the stapler. Thank you very much for taking the time...
