Went on a Thursday afternoon on the day of this review. I love the selection and the prices and the cashiers are always nice and friendly. Found a reusable pour over coffee filter and salad spinner for a FRACTION of the cost that I would have to pay at Target.
Today, I had an amazing shopping experience finding most of what I was looking for. Everything is well-organized and I always love the variety.
The cashier who helped me was so friendly, patient and nice. (Possibly of Hispanic descent?) And I really appreciate her using the 2 reusable mesh bags I was purchasing as my shopping bags and offering to cut the tags. She was so pleasant to chat with and was a great wrap-up to my shopping experience.
The shelf stocker staff are usually super focused and busy with putting up new items and keeping every shelf as full as possible. Most of them are polite, efficient, and will help me find what I'm looking for.
My one caveat is that there was a newer younger girl in an olive green hoodie who was helpful for 2 of the products I was looking for but when I got to my 3rd product, she said that all the kitchen items were in a certain general section and would not help me find any more specific items. Their kitchen section has several aisles. I don't know how she thought I was going to magically find all of the items on my own. (Thankfully other staff members were professional and helped me.) She really wanted me to look aisle by aisle, shelf by shelf by myself when she is the one working there stocking all the items and knowing exactly where every specific product is.
This was very rude and lazy and although I was asking for the location of multiple products, that is my right as a customer. She is being paid to work there and I am paying for the products that help pay for her paycheck so I don't know why she had to cut me off at 3 questions/products. She needs to learn better customer service practices. She could have directed me to another staff member for help with the rest of my shopping list. (Though, they probably would wonder why she wouldn't choose to continue helping me, making her look worse.) The management needs to reinforce better customer service expectations and protocol with their new shelf stocking...
Read morethis place is really neat/fun, anything and everything you can imagine is here for REALLY CHEAP PRICES! the quality over dollar store is BEYOND comparable BUT unfortunately i appreciate and value Customer Service. I have worked in retail for 10 years and having a good experience in a store is pretty important if you want repeat clientele....
i know there is a language barrier between myself and everyone that works here, BUT the lack of respect i am ALWAYS given here has really given me no hope for this place. Ive been a repeat shopper here for a few months now, with at least 3 visits a month spending a minimum of $30 every time. i dont want to say this since it is a very BOLD statement but ive tried to give the benefit to Daiso but the employees here are just plain racist. it doesnt matter that ispend money, because i dont speak their language i am given looks receive short answers an have yet to see anyone smile. i will have to send my bf in to grab me things now since my last visit on 04/07/16 was the last straw. the store is relocating into the actual mall, that knocked off another star cause parking will suck even more (originally it had their own building/parking lot).
So long story short, Better than dollar store, amazing quality, great prices, BUT Will now have terrible parking and if your not asian expect a bunch of rude brats. if you could care less how your treated then...
Read moreI went to this Daiso having had good experience with other ones and I made a purchase of a large amount well over $50 and I pulled out $100 bill and was informed by the cashier that they don't accept $100 bills so when I asked where is that posted that she couldn't tell me she just told me it was her policy well I kind of got offended due to the fact of you don't have no signage saying this and made me feel as if because I will someone of a different ethnicity then what would normally shop there that you didn't want to accept my hundred dollar bill and she didn't give me no options no other alternative luckily for me there was a young lady in line a few people behind me who was willing to change my bills for some twenties and that was it and I was very disappointed with the lack of information if I hadn't been making it to a $3 charge then I can understand it but like I said I was making a charge well over $50 there was no signage posted and I kind of felt as if you know not to pull the race card it was because I was of another ethnicity that they didn't want to take this bill from me so I would not be recommending this particular Daiso to other...
