Wish I could leave zero stars. I ordered boots from the website, I have really wide feet and this was the closest location for me to go to pick them up. I really wanted these boots for work this week, so I decided to just make the drive to pick them up. The website as well as Google says they open at 11am on Sunday. So I drove almost an hour, paid a bridge toll, and got there right before 11 to find one sign on the door that says they open at 11, and next to it one of those clock signs that says they’ll be back at 12. So which one are you supposed to believe?? I drove really far so I sat in my car and waited an hour for the worker to show up at about noon. I waited outside with several other customers who thought they opened at 11 too until the worker finally opened the door at noon, but the WAY he did it I already knew this wasn’t going to go well. He didn’t even look at us and just walked up and unlocked the door and walked away. If it was me and I saw several people standing outside I’d open the door and say hi! So he walks towards the back room and I in a friendly voice said “Good morning!”, to which he responds “Good AFTERnoon” like he’s correcting me. He’s an older white guy with gray hair named Mark. I tell him I’m there to pick up an online order, he says “Well that system isn’t even configured correctly”. I don’t know what that means. He immediately goes to brushing me off and tells me to come back tomorrow and tells me they don’t even carry the boot I ordered. I said “The website says you have it in stock and let me set up pick up here?” He looks at it again and grumbles “Let me check” and goes to the back, turns out they DO have the boot I ordered but not in my size. Why would you tell me that without even checking?? So he again tells me to come back tomorrow. I asked him “What’s going to happen tomorrow? You’ll have it in stock?” And he cuts me off talking over me “The MANAGER will be in tomorrow and will be able to sort it out”. I was pretty disappointed and was really just trying to get some kind of human compassion out of this dude and said “Man I drove from like an hour away…” cuts me off again and hands me the managers business card, didn’t want to hear anything I was saying about how far I’ve drove or how long I waited outside. As I was leaving I said “You know the hours on the sign out front are wrong?” And he says “Yeah and there’s a sign right next to it that says we’ll be back at 12…” I said “The website is wrong too, which is all I had to go off of”. He was done talking to me at this point. He had written me off and just wanted me out the door. Not only wasted 3 hours of my morning, but Mark was a grumpy asshole to me on top of it. And I still don’t have my boots! They’re not cheap and it’s really disrespectful to treat customers like this. I’ll be calling Brian the manager tomorrow morning and seeing what I need to do now, but good thing I don’t live near here. Doesn’t make me want to give them my...
Read moreI rarely write reviews but thought I needed to after my experience here. Walked into the store around 5 o’clock an hour before closing. There was a staff of five people. No one seemed interested in helping me. After getting a disinterested sales rep to help me out we realized that the shoes were all too big. He offered me a pair of heavier socks to try on versus the thin ones I was wearing. I thought that was a nice gesture. After finding a pair of shoes without much help he told me I had to buy the socks. They were $25. Wish I knew that information upfront. Then when having to pay for my selection they didn’t even have a way to process my credit card. They had to call someone up and process it on paper. I felt bad since there was someone behind me in the store and it was taking forever. What bothered me most was the staff who were all playing on their phones and did not want to help me out at all. They seem to not want to give...
Read moreCame into a redwing store on a Saturday. I wasn’t expecting to purchase a pair of boots and I was greeted by Brian and Alexis, whom both took turns at helping me with my situation as I had a bunch of kids with me and they were patient and help me decide a pair of boots that would be sufficient for my line of work. Upon getting my boots a few days later after being delivered, they actually didn’t fit. Alexis and Brian help me pick another pair and in the end they help me to find the boot I wanted. And that boot was the exact same boot. I wanted only I was a regular, not a wide.lol! I can actually say that they went above and beyond to assist me in this purchase. Brian actually got my tough toe done and I was well on my way with a fresh pair of boots thank you red wing of Day city Westlake...
