The cashier didn't seem to understand our order very well. She was nice, but clearly didn't understand us, and she is the only one taking orders. The chicken souvlaki was brought to us cold, we told her no raw onions and there were raw onions with the souvlaki plate, the portions were meager for the high prices, the fries were served warmish, the rice was good, although salty, and had a Mediterranean taste, even though this place was only supposed to be Greek (I would be disgusted if I was Greek, frankly), the Greek salad was only chopped green pepper, tomato (also on our souvlaki plate, what's with all of the tomatoes!?!) and cucumber (which I liked, but that is not a Greek salad) but it did have a few olives and a triangle of Feta. The hummus with pita was good, but some pita pieces were crunchy and some were soft. I also was in the bathroom half of the night with an upset stomach (I wonder why). Very pricey for what you get!!! The cooks did cook my souvlaki chicken longer for me, then at that point I was almost full and just had a couple of bites. It was better, but I don't think it was cooked long enough for safety, hence my current upset stomach. We will not be...
Read moreRecently, a bunch of Nick the Greek locations have appeared in the area. I've been to westlake's nick the greek a couple of times now because of its convenient location. This location has lots of seating and is very open. I've tried Nick's fries, lamb/beef gyro pita wrap, hummus, and falafel wrap. I've been searching for a Mediterranean loaded fries and was so excited to try the Nick's fries. It's a huge plate with lamb/beef gyro, cheese, sauce. I thought it was pretty good, but felt the sauce was lacking. It eventually got overly dry. The hummus is also pretty good with a generous portion, but only comes with a few slices of pita bread. I wish it came with a bit more, but still was pretty tasty. I highly recommend the lamb/beef gyro wrap. It is so tasty and has an amazing sauce. The pita bread is always my favorite. The wraps are also really filling and...
Read moreI ordered food from Nick the Greek in Westlake Shopping Center here in Daly City via GRUBHUB to be delivered to me. Their Chicken Gyros was excellent, the falafel Pita was so spicy that I couldn’t eat. But I can’t tolerate spicy foods. I was so excited about their desert, Froyo which is supposed to be a Greek frozen yogurt with Honey and baklava in it. What I received instead was just plain frozen yogurt. How could they do this? I wasn’t too happy with my first try of this establishment but i definitely would give them a second try, because their chicken Gyros was fantastic and I suggest that they write in their menu about the spiciness of their falafels. And I would really want to try their FROYO Which is frozen yogurt with Honey...
