Ohana Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Daly City

What A Difference A Day Makes at this place . It's 8/9/24 and we ordered the same meal that we ordered yesterday and this food is so disgusting my dog wouldn't even eat it.

But last night it was lovely beautiful food you need to fire tonight's cook and get the guy from last night back. The katsu is so overcooked it's like shoe leather. The beef is sweet like a like a liqueur.

I don't know what they did to it to make it taste like this but all I can say is whoever the cook is or whatever the difference is you need to get the cook from 8/8/24 to come back and cook for you because this guy from tonight sucks.

My dog will literally eat anything and she wouldn't eat this food!! I didn't give her a lot I just gave her a little piece of the over-fried katsu and she chewed and chewed and chewed and finally gave up. I ordered the short ribs plate lunch. It was a good amount of food for the price. Great for that meat and carbs "stick to your ribs" kind of meal. The food came out after a few minutes. It was fresh and hot. The service was friendly but not overly so. They put the food in takeaway containers and a bag as the default, which I always think is a bit wasteful, but in this case it was too much food for one meal and I had to take some home anyways. Very strange experience. I ordered the Ohana Supa Bowl with bbq chicken. It was the same exact thing as a plate.. just served in a bowl. It wasn't prepared differently. This chicken was not diced differently. It was 3 or 4 bbq'd whole chicked thigh fillets with 2 scoops of rice and heaping portion of mac salad. Why is this on the menu?
