We used SelfParkFLL for the first time for 7/11/25-7/13/25. I regret to inform, we will not use them again. The check-in process was lengthy and unusual. We had to park upon entering the facility, get out and go inside where an older gentleman checked us in and told us to pull our car up to another entry gate and wait for a van to drive by to follow. That part was not bad, but we were a bit confused as I did not recall any instructions in the booking process regarding this. It was early in the morning and dark, there were cars parked all over, still running. But we figured it out. After check-in we waited at the gate for the van for approx 15 minutes. Our van driver was a young man named "Wil". At first he was fine. Until he told us to parallel park on the side of the driveway, to where he lead us in the parking lot. My husband was unsure because there were open regular parking spots available, so he asked, "Where?". Wil developed a condescending attitude and spoke down to my husband and told him, to just park, while raising his voice. I was shocked at his behavior and when I got out the car I told him, I don't know what kind of day you're having, but we do not need the attitude. His reply was, "Thank you". I told him he was not welcome, because it is not nice. He again said, "Thank you." I understand he is young and maybe organization at this level of a group of 10 people and a handful of cars may be too much for him. However, this left us with a negative view of this company. When we were finally on our way to the airport 1/2 hr later, other travelers in the van were also commenting, "This is not worth saving a few bucks". Unfortunately, I couldn't agree more. Last but not least; our pickup experience was a complete opposite experience. The driver was a different man, he was responsive, friendly and even went out of his way to locate us, as a large bus was blocking our pickup area. When he dropped us at our car, he made jokes and shook our hands. When I apologized that I had no cash for a tip, he said it was not a problem. Perhaps this gentleman could be a part of retraining for customer service. I wish you the best in your future SPFLL, hopefully this was just a fluke... but we...
Read moreI am reading all of the great reviews and I am wondering what happened with me ? This was my first time using this service. The place is easy to find with my GPS. When I arrived the driver came to my window and told me I needed to go inside and check in. ( I felt rushed ) I walked inside received a dry hello from the gentleman at the desk. I was nervous because I had not flown in 30 years and tried to have some conversation but felt like I forced the small talk on him. I was given all of my instructions and the driver waiting for me at the door escorted me to the bus he loaded my bags and I joined 2 other passengers. Driver asked everyone what airlines and once he had the info began to drive us to our airport drop off. No water and no smiles were offered , my bags were handed to me at drop off I tipped and thanked him and went on my trip. Upon return I called and gave my pin number as instructed for pick up., I questioned my location and the man who answered my call said I needed to be between terminals 1 and 2 underneath a blue sign that read Hotel Off Parking or something like that , I questioned him because I was not sure if I was in the right place and he just repeated himself and said if I was not at the right place I could not get picked up but was not very helpful otherwise. (Not everyone knows their way around the terminals as I mentioned I had not flown in 30 years. ) I had to ask an airport worker who directed me to the right place. I waited for 20 minutes and finally was picked up. This driver, whose name I am sorry I did not get, was smiling from the minute he picked me up. He helped with my bags and was happy to have a conversation. He asked how I enjoyed my trip and was very pleasant. He drove me to my car unloaded my bags and placed them in my trunk. I thanked him tipped him and we said goodbye. All of that said., I may not have appreciated the moods of the workers on the date of my departure but they did their job efficiently and got me to the airport on time. Over all I think its a good service and will use them again...
Read moreMy husband and I were headed to Playa for a couple of weeks and needed a safe place to store our suv. I scoured the reviews for every place and landed on Self Park FLL, and boy am I glad we did! From the first phone call I knew we could trust them. I didn't realize just what a wonderful place they would turn out to be. Cost: $ - beyond reasonable. Pre-reservation: called and spoke with a wonderful rep. She answered all my questions right up front. She wasn't sure what the rule was for dogs on the shuttles, so she asked the drivers to confirm instead of guessing. On-line reservation: super intuitive and easy to complete. Drop-off the car: check in was smooth. The driver was very communicative and let us know that it would be a small wait as several others were checking in. He continued to let us know status as we waited (which wasn't long). Security/parking: the driver leads you into a secured parking lot, shows you were to park and helps you unload/load into the van. You then receive your card with pickup information, the #, and reminder where you are parked. Keys go with you. The drive: super close and super smooth. Plenty of space in the van. Drop off @ the airport: to your gate you go and the driver helps you unload with a smile and thank you. Extension: staying longer than you planned? No problem! Renew online and pay the same price! Airport pickup: call the number on the card and someone will pick you up at the designated spot shortly. The driver may even argue with you about letting him load the van ;) . Forgot/lost your card? No worries! Check your email, they sent you the info there too! Vehicle pickup: back to the secure lot you go. Keys are with you so continue on your merry way! Extenuating circumstances - We stayed 2 months instead of 2 weeks. The GM himself helped me every step of the way.
Bottom line: customer service is their top priority and they prove it in...
