First off i am A current leasee here and boy is this place miserable to deal with. I was having problems with my hood latch and whenever i took it there they said it was just due to dirt buildup or what not and never fixed the problem. They finally ended up ordering a part for it but my lease was already less than a year up and i didn't want the bother of dealing with them again.
Now here is where the experience gets even worse. When i went to utilize the pull ahead lease program that they have to get into a new terrain (due to my mileage being close) i was treated very poorly. I asked the sales guy who approached me if i could test drive a terrain. Once i gave him my ID i noticed him smirk and say something to a co worker as he went to photocopy it. I thought nothing of it at the time but it all came together as the time here went on.
I wanted to test drive a 1.5L engine to see if i wanted to pay extra for a 2L and instead i was mistakenly given a diesel to test drive then a 2L which i didn't want so i said forget it at this point lets just talk numbers because i didnt really wanna spend my whole day here seeing how it took the third time to get what i wanted to test drive so i opted to just start talking numbers. The numbers i were given were completely outrageous and made no sense to the incentives that were going on and you could clearly tell this guy was just taking advantage of me and my gf due to us be young. He then began to lecture my gf on how she was basically a fool for trading in her car at VW for her lease (WHICH I STILL TO THIS DAY DONT KNOW HOW HER LEASE WAS EVEN BROUGHT UP). He also continued to lecture us on the concept of residual value and leasing as i tried to counter offer and call him out on his outrageous numbers he was giving me and basically was saying it's impossible and that i don't know what im talking about in a condescending manner clearly due to my age. So after all that i said yeah let me know when you can get me what i want then ill be back.
I then visited sudbay in Gloucester and asked for the same thing i did at moore and got what i wanted and then some in less than half the time.
It is quite a shame that i was treated this way especially when i was a current customer and trying to give them...

It has now cost us thousands extra and now I'm on the side of the road in Connecticut overheated and leaking coolant (see video below). GMC Danvers should be ashamed with the service they provide.
My salesman Jared was very nice and professional , and the purchasing process was simple. Unfortunately, the same day I drove my truck off the lot, it began to make a clicking and screeching sound. I was told to bring it back. After over an hour, I was told they "sprayed the belt" and that the screeching noise was resolved. Within 24 hours the sounds resumed and the check engine light came on. As this was still within 48 hours of purchase, I called and arranged to bring the truck back in. Prior to my appointment, I had a mechanic (not from GMC Danvers) take a look to tell me what the issue was, as I felt the dealership was not taking me seriously. I learned that the check engine was from the evap canister and that the belt, idlers and tension pulleys were the cause of the sound and that they needed to be replaced. When I arrived for my appointment at GMC Danvers I informed them of the issues. They kept my truck for 2 days and only replaced the evap canister. My truck continues to make an awful squeak and clicking noise, as they refused to address the problems with the truck they literally just sold me. I expect that a truck purchased from a reputable dealership would have been thoroughly checked over prior to selling it. At a minimum, I expected that they would fix the issues in a vehicle they let drive off the lot 48 hours before. This company clearly doesn't care about getting repeat business, or providing credible service to their customers. I feel like I was scammed and would not recommend this...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst car dealership experience Iâve ever had. I got my car on February 13th, and by the 28th it was already in the shop â and it basically stayed there until I got rid of it. The customer service is horrible. I had scheduled appointments where my car just sat there all day because they attached my sticker to another car, so mine never even got looked at.
They donât offer loaners, they donât make anything easy, and they clearly donât care. I came in multiple times complaining about brake issues right after purchase â and all they did was âresurfaceâ the brakes instead of fixing the problem. My âadd engine oilâ light kept coming on, and they made me come back every 500 miles for oil consumption tests and pay thousands over time for oil changes â on car they sold me!
I also had a service suspension light that they brushed under the rug and said there was ânothing they could do.â Worst of all, when they resurfaced my brakes for probably the 4th time since the day we bought it, they stripped the wheel studs, tightened the lugs and sent me on my way! Meaning I was driving around in an unsafe vehicle because of there un qualified mechanics.
I warn everyone now â I will never purchase another GMC, especially not from this location. They were negligent, careless, and completely dismissive from day one.
If youâre in the market for an oversized SUV, do yourself a favor and skip GMC altogether â I highly recommend heading to Cadillac in Woburn instead. The quality, service, and customer care are on an entirely different level. Itâs everything this dealership is not.
