I had a very disappointing experience with Leo back in February based on the fine line work I saw online and good reviews here.
I'd sent screenshots for inspiration about what I was looking for and I live 90 mins away. When I got there, I did not love the design. I asked Leo to work with me to tweak it and he was unwilling, I asked him to make a change and he just removed the border and left the text which was not what I was looking for.
I let him tattoo me even though I didn't love it because I didn't want to walk away with nothing after paying the $150 deposit. After wrapping my tattoo and charging me an additional $50 [totaling $200 for the tattoo (which is literally 2x2 in), and then his tip on top of it] Leo immediately left the facility and did not return. I had noticed that my design was missing part of my grandmother's text and I wanted it to be fixed. I messaged him on Instagram and he said I needed to wait until it was healed to make changes and I agreed.
He then proceeded to ask me out on a date over Instagram which I found to be wildly inappropriate and out of left field, considering he was so cold in person. What he did was drive me to the point that I didn't want to work with him anymore.
I'm actually getting this terrible tattoo laser removed (at the cost of $405 for 3 sessions, I may need more) because I don't want to be reminded of the bad art, how disappointed I was, or of Leo.
I had emailed the company 4 times for reconciliation before I posted here. I just wanted to report this because I did not appreciate the unwillingness to collaborate on the design, the way in which he blew by me on his way out of the office with his hood on, I did not like that he asked me out and made me uncomfortable, I do not like that the tattoo looks like trash, and I do not like the fact I am out -$645 ($200 tattoo, $40 tip, $405 laser removal sessions) for something that was supposed to be so personal and intimate. Not only that, but the tattoo is something I've wanted for years so I am going to have to spend additional money to have it redone.
I am extremely bothered by the lack of professionalism and lack...
Read moreI had to take my nose rings out because I got an MRI nearby. After my MRI I went in to see if they could help me put my nose rings back in since I am disabled and don't have the fine motor skills to do it myself. I was in tears due to the frustration that I couldn’t do it myself. They refused to put my nose rings in for me unless I paid $50 for new jewelry, which I don't have since I am disabled and out of work. I would've totally been willing to pay to have my jewelry put back in but they refused.... I could not afford $50+ dollars to put my own jewelry back into my face. I have been to other piercing places with jewelry issues before and the piercer was HAPPY to help for a small fee of $5-10 (and obviously I would generously tip since they were helping me out). I left in tears feeling yet another piece of myself being stripped away by my illness.
Edit to response: There is so misunderstanding. I went into your shop and asked nicely if someone would help me put my nose rings back in. I explained my situation as best I could and honestly the receptionist was kind of rude about it and went to go ask the piercer. She said the piercer wouldn’t put my jewelry back in for me unless I bought new jewelry. I asked if I could pay a fee to have my own jewelry put in instead and explained that I was disabled and couldn’t get jewelry in myself but cannot afford new jewelry. She told me that they could not help me unless I bought new jewelry. I am not trying to take advantage of anyone I was simply asking for help. The receptionist was really short with me and kind of rude even though I was being kind and respectful. No one actually tried to provide me good service I was pretty much turned away right at the receptionist desk. I felt I couldn’t really ask questions. I wasn’t asking anyone to meet my “rules” I was just asking if there was anything they could do to help besides making me pay for new jewelry. I was very respectful and not treated with respect back. No one tried really hard to give me good service. It was an all over bad experience and you’re not going to make me feel bad for talking about my...
Read moreWhen my grandfather passed I wanted to get a new tattoo to honor his life. I had the basic idea but it took a long time to narrow down the artist I wanted to take on the work. This was going to be the most important piece I have and didn't want it to be rushed. My wife and I found Kingdom tattoo on Instagram right away we were blown away. The owner, Angelo, had impeccable work but more importantly he spoke about his clients. One of the pieces he did specifically, he commented how happy he was to do this and he knew how much it meant to the person it was for. I felt that I could trust him with this and I now couldn't be happier that I did. The shop was quick to respond and fit me in. When I arrived I found a clean and respectable studio with friendly and professional staff. Angelo spent all morning perfecting his design. He worked with us fine tuning all the elements we were hoping for and by lunch I was finally in the chair. He then worked the remainder of the day to try and get the whole thing done in one session as he knew I had a long drive to get there. He didn't finish until almost 10pm. When he did though, it was so worth the wait. The lines were clean, the shading was spot on. He brought my vision to life. When I look at my arm I see my Grandpa and the times we spent on the road together are a part of me forever now. I truthfully couldn't be happier or say enough about Kingdom Tattoo and especially Angelo. He built his shop to his standards and values and it shows in his work and professionalism. I would happily trust anyone there but if you are looking for the special meaningful piece than I would definitely recommend asking for him. This was my first tattoo in over a decade, if I had found him when I was younger, I probably would have gotten more over the past few years. I will 100% be going back to him for any future projects. He loves what he does and has perfected his craft with years of dedication to his clients. Thank you for bringing my grandfather's legacy to life in a way I didn't think would...
