Disappointed is an understatement.

We used to love I Pazzi which is exactly why we decided to dine with them for our wedding anniversary. First, we go to their prior location which was closed. We thought they had shut down, but figured out they were still open after some internet sleuthing. Their social hadn't been updated since 2022 and there was no mention of the address change anywhere aside from their primary website. When we arrive, the host informs us that their open reservation time at the bar will not be honored because the kitchen is behind and they were reserving the rest of the bar for friends of the restaurant. Fine, so they sit us at a table.

At the table, we wait an extensive amount of time to be greeted. I receive my glass of wine and my husband waits 20 minutes (if not longer) for a basic martini. They took close to an hour to get our appetizer order, gave us drinks, and didn't provide any other nourishment during that time. We are now waiting for an hour and finally the owner comes over and asks if we would like anything. We had not received our appetizers yet and were starving. We place the orders and ask for a bottle of wine. The server comes over as if this was an inconvenience. He opens the wine, looks agitated, and spills some of it on the table. This part can be overlooked, the poor service cannot.

It has now been near TWO HOURS and we still have no food. We have been told multiple times that it will be out in five minutes. My meal comes out then my husbands, which was wrong. He clarifies that he asked for a bone-in filet and not for duck. They take this back and we share my meal while he waits. We're halfway done with our meal and finally his comes out... it's incorrect again. This time they bring out the boneless filet and the waiter just runs off before we can correct it. I wave him over and point it out only for him to assure us he will charge us for the correct meal. This meal came with potatoes and they still charged us $14 for an extra side of potatoes that was supposed to come out with his originally ordered steak.

The steak was fine, nothing to write home about; same thing for the pasta. The gentleman next to me ordered a steak and sent it back twice. The owner was begging him not to leave a review, but she didn't care about our experience apparently. At the very end, a manager (or hostess, unclear) came over and asked how everything was. I was honest about how disappointing it was and she blamed it on new waitstaff. Having been patrons of I Pazzi for years, only going to celebrate special occasions, I can confirm their owner and chef was in the kitchen and should know how to manage a kitchen.

We fully anticipated on spending a healthy amount of money for this celebratory meal, but we received poor service and cold food. A location we once loved will now be a location we no longer visit. It is a pity because the new location was beautiful and has a lot...

I emailed twice to you and I guess I expected a reply. Then again maybe our experiences makes no difference to you.

ï»żIt was my birthday. Had not been to Ipazzi in a while. It is absolutely freezing every time the door opened. Seated 15 minutes before the hostess asked if we wanted a drink. Was given sparkling water that was not a full bottle, but charged as one. Drinks arrive after some discussion about scotch supply as it was the end of the week? Another 15 minutes, had to flag down a server to get bread. Another 20 minutes are finally asked about ordering. Never were asked in a timely manner if we wanted more to drink or more water until it was way too late. Dipping oil salty Clam linguini salty and not enough linguini No one every made any attempt to introduce themselves, or offer any form of hospitality. No one checked it the meal was okay. Dinner plates taken - another delay before asking about dessert. Clearly regular customers welcomed with hugs and attention are who receive real service Have worked in this industry and can say this was the worst night out we’ve ever had. Every customer should feel like their choosing your establishment was important- regardless of it being a special night. Would have ordered dessert, coffee, port, but opted to end the evening. We felt like an after thought. Not one server acknowledged us or checked on us. Clearly if your job is to reset tables, that’s all you do because even that was a higher priority than our table. Was not even thanked by the hostess as she was busy chatting with other customers who obviously were more important. Every rule of restaurantorship was broken this evening. And so this was my “special” birthday evening.

I’m not a big fan of posting negative reviews, but from this one, I had to. I was there a while ago with my family, and everything started when we were choosing the items from the menu and the lady wasn’t very nice about helping us to pick an option for our son.

We even asked if they did have an option for my kid which she said “no” and we tried to ask if she would recommend something for him, she kinda didn’t care.

But that’s fine, they don’t have to have something specific for kids, and I get that.

After that, me and my wife were discussing about the menu for ourselves and all of sudden she probably notice that we’re speaking Portuguese, and she decided to call a waiter who was able to speak Portuguese, so on that way, “we would feel more comfortable” having him instead of her.

I’m very sorry, but we didn’t ask her to bring someone who speaks Portuguese to help us, because we do speak English and very fluently, second I felt like she was totally impatient and very unprepared.

It’s just like when a customer ask how much that will cost , and you answer “don’t mind, you don’t have the money to pay”. That is how I felt about it.

Also, whoever made the extra dirty martini, didn’t know what it was doing.

Trust me, I’ve been in so many places, like mastros (seaport), and other Italian places, and I was very well treated.

I hope you take this review as a way to improve your customer...

So I’m alllll about reviews when traveling- and I have to let my fellows from the Midwest know. I give this a 3/5 intentionally. We came here craving steak tonight. My husband said his pasta was cold(at this point we were starving and didn’t care much) Dirty dishes were left on our table- and my husband’s empty Pepsi was left for over 30 minutes without being refilled. If your looking for a good restaurant( and your from the Midwest) Do not go here. You can get better service at home- for the same price. Keep in mind when going to this restaurant- the food is a 4. The service a 2. It’s expensive for what you experience- and this is a warning to my own
go to a different steak house. (Wait until you get home)

Nice cozy place in Danvers. Very unassuming from the outside but once inside it has a very different feel. White tablecloths and well dressed wait staff. Food was excellent with well proportioned and nicely plated dishes with nice flavors. We ordered the octopus and figs for appetizers. For entrees we had the ravioli, grilled chicken and the swordfish. Desserts were good especially the Gelato which is made in house and the flavors vary. The kitchen is manned by only the Chef and hats off to him because all the food came out at the appropriate times with not too much waiting even though the restaurant was fairly busy.

You hear the term hidden gem a lot, but in this case I feel it's appropriate. I've lived in the area for a few years and wasn't aware this was even here! The food was remarkable with a menu that surprised me. Duck with Blueberry reduction, Branzino and stuffed figs to start...yummy!!! You get the benefit of fine dining without having to go into Boston. The food, wine list and dessert were just wonderful. It is on the pricier side, but you definitely get what you pay for. I highly recommend it.
