With a party of 15, this restaurant was so accommodating. The only issue is the hostess kept playing with the lights. The lights kept flickering...enough to be annoying. However, the pizzas ordered make up for any indiscretions. The group decided to split the bill ( annoying so appreciate the server(s). Oh so first my group started with the tavern wings. The wings were paired with caramelized onions (13.99). They were so juicy on the inside and crisp on the outside. The best part is that the wings are roasted. A grilled half slice of Tuscany like bread is served. My group then ordered 3 of Berry's Tavern unique pizza options. These are brick oven pizzas. We had Vanessa's Pesto, the Lil Joey , Margherita. So the Lil Joey Breaded is chicken cutlet, lite sauce, garlic, Pecorino Romano cheese, and mozzarella cheese. The Vanessa came with grilled chicken, homemade pesto sauce, caramelized onions, Pecorino Romano cheese and mozzarella cheese. The Margherita was traditional. The crusts were crisp, a lot of flop, beautifully cheesy. A pluses. Oh the pizzas come in regular or large. A regular would easily feed 2. The three large feed all 8 of us eating pizza with us having 3-4 pieces per eater. Our bill with drinks came to 112. We left 40 as a tip...the server was so patient and understanding. I brought home a piece of Tiramisu. It was proper lady fingers, mascapone, cocoa powder...it was A- . It was 13.95.

Out running errands, we needed a bit to eat to keep the energy going. We stopped at this tavern as it was less than a block from the butchery we needed to run to. Sat at the bar, Emma, the bartender, was great and swift with getting us water and a drink order going. Hubs had the Sam Summer; the lemon wedge was a nice twist, he said. I got the berry Cosmo, which is strong but really tasty. It came with a lil carafe to top off my drink when ready. For an app, we shared the Philly steak and cheese egg rolls. hubby said it took him back to childhood. They were very tasty, not greasy. I did need to add a hit of salt, though. Otherwise, def a repeat order next time. Since it was lunchtime, we decided to split a pasta dish. We opted for the scallop and shrimp dish; I can't remember the sauce name, and it's not on the online menu lol... But it was a light wine and garlic sauce that perfectly coated the pasta. The seafood was cooked to perfection and the asparagus in the dish was my favorite of the whole dish, blanched to perfection! We loved the vibe here. We will be back!

We had the worst restaurant experience. The service was terrible, unbelievably careless and distanced. They brought half cooked half uncooked wings when we asked them to cook the ones looking all white. They brought back same after 15 min. The second time wings picture is attached. We wish we had never went there. We ordered two sandwiches , they only brought one. After a while when we asked for our order, they said they were out of bread that we had to wait more for the second sandwich. Unless we ask there were no service or any explanation for their shortcomings. Terrible experience.

We made a order at 750 on uber because we had a gift card i arrived to the restaurant at 820 , after we got notified the food was ready, i understand uber notifies you based on previous wait times so that may not be accurate so i was not upset when i arrived and the food was not ready , although after waiting 25 more minutes putting the wait time at almost 1 HR i was becoming increasingly frustrated. The hostesses did not look rushed, We received the meal after 1Hr possibly more, and we had ordered one dish with no cheese , when I got to the car we noticed both dishes had no cheese, even tho it is very clear on the order only 1 dish was supposed to not have cheese, no problem. I went inside and explained to the hostess 1 dish should not have cheese the other should, her response was "Yeah that makes sense" . OK....? requested parmesan to go for my dish and they gave me pecorino romano.... no problem. Unfortunately my dish was not great and lacking flavor. The overall experience really soured my view on berry tavern because i have heard great things, this was my second time to the resturant. The first time was also OK, better then this experience and that is why we went back. For 60$ the wait time should be less and the meal should be...

This is a wonderful location! We stayed in Danvers, but came to visit Salem. We wanted to avoid the Salem traffic an crowd. So we opted for something local. When searching restaurants. Oddly this didn’t come up, but searching taverns it does. We got seated promptly and loved the fact they had ample outside seating. The menu is rather large. The food was delicious! The staff were wonderful. I felt bad as it looked like they were slightly understaffed and working their butts off. My only recommendations would be a slightly more kid friendly menu and not bringing out desserts with the main dishes. The kids menu is slightly more of grown up food. Which is great for older kids, but not toddlers. Example the chicken tenders are massive. The cheese ravioli, while absolutely delicious, kinda hard for a toddler to eat even after cutting it all up. Last but not least the menu says to order the lava cake 15 mins early as it takes sometime. So I let the waitress know I would like that an to put it in after the food. Weirdly it came out with my salad. It was still delicious none the less. Beautiful patio. Actually romantic almost. They were very kid friendly too! So if your visiting I would recommend!!! Ample parking and...
