BEWARE of these third party scam artists. Long story but well worth the read if you’re planning on giving these people your business. I walked in and wanted to upgrade to a new iPhone. I paid off my phone and started the process for buying the new one. As I was going through the process I was told by the rep that I would have to buy a charging block directly from them or the charger wouldn’t work, which is an outright lie. They said that for the IPhone 15 there is a huge problem where 100% for sure charging will not work without their extra product, well I needed a case and another charger anyways. They want $50 per piece. So 150$ for a block, cord and case. (I went to Best Buy and it was 28$ for both the block and cord. I declined that service. That’s when I realized who I was dealing with and what kind of scam it would be. As I got to buying the new phone I see the man start to transfer my data onto the new phone and went to pay there was a 50$ fee which Verizon (come to find out) says is a free service they offer. Too late to say anything about that but Verizon did give me a credit. Come to find out today I see and email for phone insurance added and my free Apple Music with my plan removed. I called Verizon and they quickly fixed my new charges while advising me I was also added with extra hotspot data 100gig which I didn’t ask for and added a huge cost to my plan, they also changed my plan without consulting me, adding a disney bundle for 10$ to a phone which wasnt even associated with the transaction I went in for. Charge after charge, I never asked for any of these services or wasn’t told about them. By the end of my checkout process they put my neighbors name and account down for the phone purchase, I still don’t know how they got that info, all they said is it’s a “suggested address”, remind you I have an account with all my info with Verizon that they verified by sending a link to access my account right as I walked through it the door. I advised my neighbor about what happened and they’re not happy at all. Please be careful if dealing with these people, they run up your bill without your knowledge and scam you into buying their crazy priced products.    Read moreMid September I went to get a new iPhone for my grandson. The sales process was great, Jared was very helpful. I was able to get the phone for nothing after the large trade-in credit and my Verizon Up dollars. My receipt from Russell Cellular shows both credits. Well, my first bill from Verizon came and the large trade-in credit was not there. I also had additional charges that I was not told about and apparently Jared signed us up for the protect plan at $17 per month that I did not ask for. When I called Verizon they promptly removed that charge. But the trade-in credit was another issue that only Russell Cellular could resolve. So, I went back to the store and spoke with Charlie (Sales Manager) and he said he would correct the trade-in promo and would call me back . . . . never happened. Three additional trips over the following 2 weeks to the store to speak to Charlie, each time he assured me it was being corrected.
Well, here we are a month and a half later and the trade-in promo is still not corrected and Verizon does not show any corrections being done on my account. After spending an hour and a half on the phone today talking directly with Verizon, they were able to fix the trade-in value and are applying my Verizon Up dollars.
I would never go back to this or any other Authorized Retailer; I will only go directly to the Verizon store...

The associate at the other store was not somebody I would ever want to deal with again - was there with another family member who was updating his phone. Even though I was with him and the phone service is under my name the associate would not sell me a phone (even though the store was empty of other customers) because I did not have an appointment. He basically sold the phone, nothing more. Charlie not only pleasantly and enthusiastically so my husband a phone but did all the transfers and made sure my husband was comfortable with his new phone before we left the store. He went so far as to choose a brightly colored red phone but my husband so that it would be different from my black phone because he listened to the fact that my husband is visually challenged!
