This is the kind of experience that will make you reconsider any five star rating you've ever given. This is a 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 joint.
There's one hour parking on the opposite side of the street. It may take some luck to find a spot.
Once inside the first thing you'll notice is how bustling this place is. Dude behind the counter is incredibly welcoming and friendly with all the energy as if it was the grand opening.
Fast service at the counter. We got our drinks and snagged a couple seats. Snagging seats will also take luck.
Our food was EXCELLENT. I made the mistake of not researching the menu before having gone. I didn't want to hold up the line so I got something basic, though, still not disappointed. The 🌟 here was the ciabatta. It was toasted but soft and the exterior wasn't too hard. These guys know what they're doing.
The scone.. get the blueberry/lemon scone. Moist and not too sweet.
Black coffee is👌.
This is a ½hour from our place, but we'll be back when we're...
Read moreI found this coffee jewel last summer of 2023. It was the real deal. I sensed even from the name, that it wasn't going to be doing what 'ALL THE OTHER FUNKY CAFÉS do! 48 years in restaurant and hospitality work, I know quality and when a business is going to succeed. Those who know me, know that I am very selective of whom and what I critique. If you want to literally have the BEST LATTE and sandwiche on the Northshore, quite possibly Massachusetts, get in your EV, Bicycle, Mo-Ped, Wheelchair, whatever..... and get down to Rebel Café and Creamery. It closes at 2 PM so...
Read moreTHE COFFEE—GREAT— and I mean great. ‘The Renegade’, one of their specialty coffee ‘cocktails’(without the booze), is something magical. If youre a connoisseur, this place WILL be your new coffee jam.
THE FOOD — So damned good. It will put Danvers back on the map and make the foodies who patron iPazzi and 9elm now have a great spot for breakfast and lunch. Try one of their daily, fresh baked pastries! Rumor has it the former Chef of the Wenham Tea House is heading up the kitchen and has some AMAZING scones.
THE VIBE — Super cool, retro and hip all at the same time. Nice to see something truly unique and different open up in what is considered a pretty antique-y downtown space.
Hopefully this is just the beginning, the owner said that a nitrogen coffee portion is coming...
