Stopped at this place on the go, diving through Danvers. Friendly staff and great location.
I got a shrimp dinner which is my go to fried seafood of choice. It was good but just a bit too oily. I ended up giving most of my food to the kids who also made a comment about how oily the shrimp was. It wasn't terrible tho, the fries were delicious, onion rings were a 2 out of 5 for me.
Not a fan of the Cole slaw but for those that read my reviews know that I'm very picky with cole slaw. My husband liked it, he said "it has character, very flavorful". Personally, I will ask for salad if there's a next time because there is a choice, which is rare but I can appreciate having the option. I have to point out their amazing packaging of the cole slaw (see picture). I can appreciate that they serve it separately versus in the same dish with your fries and shrimp (which causes sogginess). I like common sense. Although there's the whole plastic container thing. It could go either way.
I also got these fried Mac and cheese bite things. If you like Mac Cheese this is a must try!
I would go back and try other things just based on their service. I can appreciate good service and friendliness even though they were...
Read moreSo sad. I grew up mostly in Danvers and Supremes has always been my favorite. Food was great, staff were quick and friendly, prices were reasonable. I don't know if it was sold, gifted to other family members, or what but I didn't recognize anyone in there today and the service was terrible. It wasn't even busy yet the phone rang 8 times before being picked up. The guy running the counter had to get someone from out back to help even though there were only 3 orders at the counter (including mine).
Got home, and the picture is what we received. Almost no lettuce (the cheapest ingredient, right?) on the BLT and my beef sub looked like it was dipped in BBQ sauce with none on the inside of the sandwich. So much sauce was slathered on the outside that you could hardly taste the beef, cheese, or even mayo on the inside. Not to mention the subs used to be packed with beef, this looks like about half.
Prices rang in also don't match what's on the menu boards and $2.25 for a 16oz bottle of soda is a rip-off. Doubt I'll be back, especially since they don't offer delivery. Giovanni's, Pete's, Prime, and even Gio's all do a better job than this at a better value and...
Read moreThis place used to be a staple of Danvers and is now a shadow of what it used to be. The employees don't seem to care and are more concerned with chit chat and are super slow most nights. I went there last night and watched 2 of their 3 employees and 1 customer talk for almost a full 30 min while I continued to wait for an order I called in. They told us 10 min and I waited 15 before even leaving my house and then waited for 25 extra minutes ( I timed it with their clock ) to receive my order. The 2 employees were moving so slow and didn't seem to be making any head way which is atrocious considering they only had 2 orders to complete with mine being one of them. Of course the whole time being in a 3 way conversation with the customer and each other. Naturally my food was on the colder side when I got back home 60 seconds away from downtown. Not sure what happened but I'm never going back after this. This is my 2nd worst experience there out of dozens of visits. it's been so bad the past couple years I now have a top 3 worst visits list. Last night was the final straw. Unbelievably ignorant that they were moving so slow knowing I was there...
